Ronnie talked in such a humble way about his accomplishments in snooker. He may try to down play things a bit, but there is not one bit of doubt in my mind that he IS the GOAT!!! I am certainly hoping he can win one more world title and make one more 147 at The Crucible. Cheers Ronnie. 👍❤

I have watched him play for over 20 years and I can tell you that he changes his attitude daily. One day he’s humble, the next he’s arrogant. He has been awful in interviews and incredibly disrespectful (the china interview a number of years back). When he’s in a good mood, he’s very likeable but most of the time he’s difficult.

He’s not humble when he asked what the 147 prize money is when he’s pitted one black. Or when he’s says the players now are no good, or when he shakes hands mid match, or when he has an excuse every time he loses instead of admitting he’s been beat, or when he says he just plays now to pay his kids school fees.

@@MrSmid888 I just said he spoke about things humbly and it was in this interview. I realize Ronnie's mood can swing from one extreme to the other very quickly, but such is The Rocket. I still like him very much and think he is the greatest player to ever hold a snooker cue.

I disliked Ronnie so much because he was Hendry's nemesis and only player ever to really challenge him. I stumbled upon those two KZread videos between them during lockdown and was blown away. I'd always just assumed that they hated each other. It was fascinating to see that they are genuinely good friends now and hold nothing but huge respect and admiration for one another. "Can we talk about that for a while?" is a question that more interviewers should ask, instead of thinking that they have a right to be invasive.

Ronnie is more of a snooker legend than Steve Davis or Stephen Hendry, even though he's won less than them. He is a snooker genius and no one would say that about Davis or Hendry. This guy is special. He brought something to the game never seen in the modern era, swapping from left to right hand whenever he wanted, doing insane shots no one else would dare try and pulling them off, doing a 147 in 4 mins 20 secs, almost running around the table to get it done in the fastest time... he has nerves of steel. If you asked any snooker fan that's 45+ years old (that has seen Davis and Hendry) who is the best they have ever seen - not a single one of them won't say... it's Ronnie O'Sullivan, hands down.

I used to be a support worker and met Ronnie's Dad in jail. He was a lovely dude and started telling me about how people end up in addiction. I said to him, "I am a an addiction specialist so you are telling granny how to suck eggs". He laughed...and so did I.

Normally the interviewer in question is awful at sports interviews. But I think he is helped by the fact that Ronnie is focusing on 'therapy talk'.

Such an open person and really the world's greatest player. Some people disrespect him because of some minor antics that have occurred, but I think those are just intolerant arse-holes. If people would listen to him and understand that he has some internal struggles (like everyone, andhe's had more than many), they should cut him and everyone else a bit of slack. No one's perfect.
