This isn’t exactly correct. He actually ALWAYS wanted to play Deadpool, and kept pushing for a Deadpool movie. He didn’t want to play the Origin’s version but had to so they’d let him do the Deadpool movies.

@@Antkingjrx I'm pretty sure the dude narrating the video doesn't know shit either, as he doesn't even mention the inspiration why Ryan wanted to do it so much was from the comic issue of Cable & Deadpool #2 in 2004 where Deadpool says he is "Ryan Reynolds bitten by a radioactive shar-pei" When the people responsible for the comic book says you are synonymous with the character then maybe it's your destiny.

Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool are like RDJ and Ironman. We can't imagine, and wouldn't want anyone else playing them

Reynolds also has inadvertently admitted to being the person that leaked the Test Footage clip back in 2011 or 2010 . They almost weren't gonna be able to finish the movie until the large positive reaction from fans from that clip

This dude doesn't even mention the fact that the comic book writers in 2004 put in Deadpool saying "I'm like Ryan Reynolds bitten by a radioactive shar-pei" and that's what convinced Ryan in the first place

So, in some twist of events, we got to appreciate Origins' Deadpool, even if only because it lead to the actual Deadpool

Even though it sucks they they sewed his mouth shut, his laser vision and wrist blades are pretty awesome!

He was literally made for that role the humor the voice amazing actor

I just love that he "accidentally" leaked a clip to get audience reaction to bring to the network and everyone collectively lost their minds and started foaming at the mouth for an actual deadpool movie. Proof that loving your work is worth literally millions more than doing something for money.

I feel like he wanted the role as soon as he seen Deadpool is FULL of traits, secrets and different layers of emotion within himself

Deadpool showed that Rated R films can make cash and then FOX sold the character to a studio that won't make it R.

I like when actors do this type of stuff. Dude is already a millionaire and so willing to take a pay cut just to give fans what they want is super admirable. Too many celebrities are too full of themselves unwilling to take a pay cut. Reminds me of some of the female stars who wanted to get paid the same as their male counterparts, but at the same time while these princesses are complaining that they aren't getting another million from their already million dollar bank account, really has us low income/middle class rolling our eyes thinking, aww poor little rich girl not getting paid even more, so sad, so you won't be able to afford your 3rd mansion for another few months, oh no, wish I could help all the way down here, but struggling with bills and going pay check to pay check.
