Thank you Ryan Poles ❤🐻⬇️💯🔥💪
I've had faith in Poles and his vision since the beginning, and with every move he makes it just strengthens my faith in him and this current regime. He and Flus put a very high value on character and culture, and the fact that the team didn't crumble last year when they easily could have, but rather played their best football and came together really says something about the character and the culture of this team. Now in year three they are bringing in the talent on offense to go along with a very talented defense, and it seems like everything is coming together. They still need a bit of help on both the d-line and o-line, but other then that they have very few needs left. And with the draft capital they have and their QB being on a rookie contract, they can easily fill those needs and then some. This is a special time to be a Bears fan.
I understand we need a DL and agree it would make us a lot better, but people forget we were ranked 1st the last 2 months of the year as a defense. It’s clearly not as big of a need as an offensive lineman where we haven’t ranked in the top 20 in years.
@blankname6629
Ай бұрын
The bears have ranked dead last the last two seasons in sacks. They need to get multiple defensive linemen. This feels like Deja vu from last year passing on pass rushers to pick depth pieces. Montez sweat cannot be the only pass rusher on the defense if you want to win.
@TheChiromaniac
Ай бұрын
@@blankname6629 I totally get all that and agree but when your defense is still thriving as a whole and your offensive line is clearly a weak point and not thriving one bit, what’s the bigger need?

@@yuhbtw he is not that huge by modern standards of the position, and a raw development OT is less valuable for us than a situational pass rusher on a rookie deal. The kid from Utah and the one from Washington St were both still available, Tice from Washington might have been there, and the kid from Penn State that played opposite of Chop Robinson was sill in the board as well. Several guys that could help take our defense to the next level, over a developmental prospect. That is what I am talking about!!
Lets Go Bears!!!! 💪🐻
DAAAAA BEARS!
Amegadjie has a bit better traits than Braxton Jones. He's also a bit more raw technically, picking up football later and playing at Yale. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the starting left tackle job in a year or two though. He's got a more weight in the lower body, and better power potential than Braxton. This is a lower floor/higher upside pick. I'm interested to see what if anything Poles can do to improve the pass rush for 2024 though. Isaac was still available at #75, higher floor/lower ceiling compare to Amegadjie, but probably a bigger need.
@justinethridge9157
Ай бұрын
I heard he went years without allowing a sack at Yale. Plus being hometown kid I think that factors in. Either way he's going to be a brick wall 🧱
I love how he just said yeah the NFL makes us wait at least 5 minutes LOL
Poles is the greatest hire in Chicago Bears history!!!!!!
The competition for offensive line jobs will be good and all of those that become depth pieces will see time. Poles knows what he is doing and Amegadjie was one of the top 30 visitors. May the best line win..
Way to go DA NORTH POLE POLES!!!
GM is proving himself at last ❤
I dont get why the media/many fans want high pick Defensive players every single year..I guess its just habit for most but its an Offensive league now and we have a Defensive coach so he shouldn't need every player to be a 1st 2nd 3rd rounders he should be able to develop later picks.

I just don’t understand a swing depth T at 75 coming off an injury when you could have a position of need. Before you come commenting just know I can give you a few examples of bust that Ryan Poles has picked since being the GM also this is my perspective if you wanted to replace your LT it should have been done earlier you could have brung in competition later in the draft and you signed a T this offseason already you are supposed to draft a top 75 prospect that can come in and start immediately especially when you have needs no one opposite of Sweat or behind him don’t tell me our defense was great before the Sweat trade because that’s a lie
