    I've had faith in Poles and his vision since the beginning, and with every move he makes it just strengthens my faith in him and this current regime. He and Flus put a very high value on character and culture, and the fact that the team didn't crumble last year when they easily could have, but rather played their best football and came together really says something about the character and the culture of this team. Now in year three they are bringing in the talent on offense to go along with a very talented defense, and it seems like everything is coming together. They still need a bit of help on both the d-line and o-line, but other then that they have very few needs left. And with the draft capital they have and their QB being on a rookie contract, they can easily fill those needs and then some. This is a special time to be a Bears fan.

  • @TheChiromaniac
    @TheChiromaniacАй бұрын

    I understand we need a DL and agree it would make us a lot better, but people forget we were ranked 1st the last 2 months of the year as a defense. It’s clearly not as big of a need as an offensive lineman where we haven’t ranked in the top 20 in years.

    The bears have ranked dead last the last two seasons in sacks. They need to get multiple defensive linemen. This feels like Deja vu from last year passing on pass rushers to pick depth pieces. Montez sweat cannot be the only pass rusher on the defense if you want to win.

    Amegadjie has a bit better traits than Braxton Jones. He's also a bit more raw technically, picking up football later and playing at Yale. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the starting left tackle job in a year or two though. He's got a more weight in the lower body, and better power potential than Braxton. This is a lower floor/higher upside pick. I'm interested to see what if anything Poles can do to improve the pass rush for 2024 though. Isaac was still available at #75, higher floor/lower ceiling compare to Amegadjie, but probably a bigger need.

    @@cardboardinkcollector3639 lmao yea ok I can think of several guys Poles picked that are no longer on the team or busts (Velus WR, Robinson DE, The Running Back from Baylor Ebner I think that was his name) that’s just a few examples stop the madness If you wanted to replace your serviceable LT you should have done it with the 9th pick not draft a project, back up player when you didn’t get any pressure before SweaT got here. You forgot how awful are D was before that trade you don’t have a guy opposite of sweat or behind him in case he gets hurt you don’t even have a legit 3 Tech because the ones you drafted last year were meh 🫤

    @@TheSjuris this press conference was about the OL they drafted, they already had pressers for their first pick. What part of that don't you understand? There's things they couldve asked about the kid, but Chicago bears media notoriously suck ass when it pertains to questions

    @@TahitianTreatSkeetJuiceJr fine I’ll tell him to do a 30 second press conference that’s all you need to do for a backup lineman drafted in the 3rd round. Hell maybe he will do a 15 second one tomorrow for the 4th round pick. Nobody gives a crap about a backup OL. Everyone cares about the qb. He understands that, but it’s too much for your little head.

    @@TahitianTreatSkeetJuiceJr seems like you don’t comprehend how press conferences go. Nobody really cares that much about a backup ot picked in the third round. The focus is all going to be about Caleb as it should be. I’m sure that they will have a press conference on Sunday or Monday officially introducing their last 2 picks with them present. That’s usually how it goes.
