How you knockdown someone without landing a punch? Apart from the three knockdowns, the rest was Ryan putting his weight on Devin Haney with not a punch thrown And how are we not talking about Ryan not getting DQ for consistently turning his back to the opponent? That left hook was part of the game plan. Ryan and Derrick James saw how relatively easy Lomanchenko closed the gap on Haney and broke through his defense. They did their homework. That hook is devastating and given that Haney was susceptible to it , it only made logical common sense for Garcia to look to land it again especially given how Haney reacted to it. Garcia was also throwing his right as a decoy to keep Haney guessing and to get in the range and it worked perfectly. Garcia is sturdy and can take a punch just as good as Ray Leonard, Delahoya and Trinidad used to in their primes. His Jab was working beautifully by the middle rounds and that right hand set things up beautifully as far as distance and it kept Haney honest. This was a well earned victory for Garcia and no, 3 pounds had nothing to do with this.

Haney lost to lamo in my opinion and Garcia made up for that with a dominant performance. Haney is good but I think lamo and Haney should fight again.

There were 2 MORE separate times when Garcia technically knocked Haney down; but the REF did not count as Knock downs. Haney is the next Mayweather, getting help from an African REF & getting an African REF at each fight. Mayweather, 50-0 while holding/cheating AND running. Winning on decision because his African. against gervonta there'll always be clauses preventing ryan from being at his best. it's an entertaining matchup but realistically it's a consistent one-sided bout. i'd love for ryan to have a chance with him on equal grounds, i imagine he'd find a way to pull it off. but they would never sign for that
