Ryan Bowen is Natural and thats the reason why some other athletes beat him.... If he were to go on the sauce like all these other arm wrestlers then he would for sure be top 3 in his division. He wants to live a healthy natural life, nothing you can do when others are cheating but you dont want to...... Wish there were a natural division for guys like Ryan Bowen and Ongarbayaev. They are great arm wrestlers but wont be #1 cause others use sauce while they dont....

More like Jake Paul. Yes he is incredibly delusional when it comes to his own ability, but the man does a great job in popularizing the sport and he is also great commentator. Zelenoff is a complete fraud, Ryan is just mediocre arm wrestler who can’t compete with the good and the elite armwrestlers, like Jake Paul in boxing.

Judging by the comments, if there is one thing Bowen seems to have done successfully it is uniting everyone in disliking him as a competitor. I wanted to throw a joke or two in there as well but I honestly felt bad for him. No fun in beating someone who's lost, but there is probably a lesson in humility there for Ryan. I wish him the best. I hope he comes back stronger.

There are massive upsets in sports on a pretty regular basis. Arm wrestling is no different. The TRUTH is you didn't have a clue what would happen. Did you think Ryan would beat Chance Shaw back when he did? Did you think he'd win his WAL match when he did? Did you think he could flash pin Larry Wheels? Ryan has beaten guys bigger and stronger than himself and Ray before, as well. Only using him as an example because of the topic. The same could be said for a vast number of people. Sometimes matches go exactly how someone predicts, sometimes the exact opposite of what we predict happens, and everything in between. Tons of people had Ryan winning and him doing so wouldn't have exactly shocked the world.

Think the ceiling is very low in Australia. Ryan + Lachlan hit it a while back and have got complacent. Steel sharpens steel and we've seen that in action with Coach Ray and the Latvian team.
