Rwanda Genocide Special: 25 Years Later

It was a genocide that wiped out nearly one in eight people in Rwanda.
As Rwandans remember one of humanity's darkest hours, we look towards the future. We ask how much of the country has healed, and how an atrocity that occurred a quarter century ago is affecting Rwanda’s relations with its neighbours.

I can’t even imagine how living without a parent feels like. I feel bad for those children witnessing their own parents being tortured and killed

That guy was very well spoken. I'm glad Rwanda has made such strides in the last 30 years.

Like a good number of Africa's dictators, Kagame was once a freedom fighter who quickly turned to a brutal savage and an enemy of his own people.

Were the Hutue's influenced by the European Colonizers? Could it be these two tribs were able to live peacefully until being influenced by the European Colonizers against the Tutsi's? Where did they get their modern weapons from, they didn't have that kind of manufacturing or did they, to make their killing machines? 🤔 who provided weapons that gave them the capability to shoot down a plan?

Oh yes, it is well known that the colonisers (Belgium) planted the seed for the genocide. They are the ones who separated the people into tribes in what they called “divide and conquer” and made them have ID cards that had what tribe they were in. They also shipped a huge number of machetes into Rwanda weeks before the massacre started. The genocide has their whole name all over it.

@@misskay8131 The Belgians did none of the killings. Neither did the “killing machine” weapons that were “allegedly planted” by outsiders
