Thank you for the video, it has been extremely useful to help me complete the HNY tour.

It does save progress if you decide to leave without completing full stage of fish. I think you cant have a journey on pause and go fishing at a different location.

I have heard that from others

I could not get this to work on the Pilot fish. I used the Metal Jig watched for red/yellow/green going backwards to the minnow. After over 50 resets, not once did I see a fish that went from red on the Metal Jig to Yellow on the Crank bail, let alone going red/yellow/green. I have been trying for this Pilot fish for days and nothing works.

I know there was a fish I had trouble finding once, and once I reached the max license level, it finally showed up. It wasn't even an epic, I think it could have been a glitch. If you aren't level 20 yet, try hitting that, then go back and see if this works because you should see them often. It's normally a pretty common fish.

@@TheVRFisherman Thanks. I found out what the problem was. It appears when I updated for the event, my game got a bug that stopped certain fish from even appearing. I tried your method over 50 times with resets at level 20 and not once saw a Pilot fish. I deleted and reinstalled the game and then found it on my first cast. It appears the last update has broke the game for a lot of people, if what is being said on FB is accurate. Anyway thanks for the fine work you did on this video. It really helped and because of it I realized that my game was bugged.

Level 16 for the huge fish

Hi, I am new to fishing and VR fishing, can you explain the difference between spinning rod and casting rod? How did you do the quick release to release the shark that was on the hook? I have been playing on the US region, the one that’s in Hawaii with sunset view (forgot the number, may be 5/6) I have caught every type of the fish except the two epic fish. I have spent 5 hours trying to catch them after I caught all the others (I have maxed the exp level) but they just didn’t show up (I am fishing on beginner mode). How long does it take for epic fish to show up after maxing the exp? Thanks! If you can make a beginner guide for those questions that will be great for beginners. I really enjoyed the game, and thx foe the videos.

To quick release, you just pull back on the thumbstic. You must be fishing on expert to catch epics.

I've tried clicking back and forth with a metal jig looking for a large red fish and no luck. I don't understand and it's irritating me. Lol
