RV Step Cover Rug Replacement

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

To help keep the inside of our RV clean, we've always used RV step rugs to cover the entrance steps on our motorhome. After 5 years of full-time use, our Ruggids are finally ready to be replaced.
Ruggids, by Prest-O-Fit, are the best RV step rugs we've owned. After trying those cheap "grassy" step covers that didn't work well and only lasted a year, our Ruggids did a great job. So we're replacing them with the exact same brand.
Here's a quick look at how easy step covers are to replace, using the four included cable ties. The entire job takes just a few minutes.

I like those. Our church has an entry rug of the same type of material, it's really good at picking up the junk, and has wore extremely well. These are going on my list. Thanks.

+Allen Hare Thanks Allen. They are indeed rugged. SO much better than the cheap "grass" type.

if you wait a while before sniping the zip ties, you can probably tighten then a little more.

+Jay Bazuzi We didn't find that it was needed. They stayed tight the entire time we had them.

It's Sept. 2015 I'm camping in my first travel trailer and learning as I go. Soon I'll be thinking about preparing for winter storage. Do I do it myself or have the trailer company do it? My sprinkler system is a pressure air blown type. Do I consider this or something else. I don't want any water pipes or pumps to freeze. Thanks for your help. Ed RPod 178 Trailer

+Good Dog While traveling away from our RV last winter, we stored it in a cold climate for the very first time. We made a video about winterizing the water system here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mK2eqKN_dsidqNY.html Our system is likely more complicated that yours, but the concepts are similar. Yours will just be less involved. You can also search KZread for other videos about winterizing that show a different technique - one that uses anti-freeze only rather than blowing air through the lines. That method allows you to do the job without investing in an air compressor. If you look at our video, and others, and feel you can handle getting all the water out, go for it! It's not that difficult, but if you're unsure, you can always have it done at an RV shop instead.

+Rudy Hernandez Those came from a company called MCD, but unfortunately, they stopped making them years ago, and nobody else seems to have anything like it. :(
