    I'm currently in the "throws" of defogging my passenger window. Frankly, I should have done this over a year ago. Took too many chances by not being able to clearly see oncoming traffic on the passenger side. After reviewing many videos I decided to tackle the project myself. In my case the glass had etched and needed to be replaced. Thankfully, I had a local glass company that was able to cut a new tempered glass to the exact size of what I needed. Bought the seal kit and now ready to put everything back together. Hoping everything will come back together again. :)

    A guy that fixes specifically RV windows! Awesome to hear. I know house windows it can be done but someone who knows how to take out and replace Rv windows, a service needed! because we all know a dealer would just be replacing them- which would cost you a lot of $$. 🍻

    My hubby and I looked at an Alpha "See Ya" that had been "rode hard and put away wet". The body was in terrible shape but it had the very best floor plan we have ever seen. I can understand why you like yours so much and are willing to invest in the upgrades. After all it is your home and I don't know anyone who moves into a house and never makes changes or upgrades. The glass "magicians" were really impressive and are a resource I will note in my diary of businesses to contact for good fixes. I understand what you mean about trying to take care of a dog when you are in no condition to do so. Over the last 3 years I have become handicapped and unable to walk a dog. I can get in my wheelchair/race car and go out with a dog but if I'm sick it just will not work. We have down sized from several large dogs to 1 small dog but hubby really does all the walking/cleaning up/feeding, and even though our little dog(Chuck) loves the hubby I feel bad that I can't help more. Doing it by myself is out of the question. If the right time and right dog come along you will know what will be right for you. And maybe you can just start visiting dog rescues and help socialize dogs in need of manners and cuddling.

    Another great video Liz! I had no idea RV windows could be defogged. Good info if our Class C ever has issues. I understand your choice right now to not get another dog. My sweet kitty has been gone several years, since before we were RVing, and while I would love to get another, I've decided that I just don't want to deal with all the issues that might arise as we camp and travel. I know many people travel with cats, but for now, like you, I'm choosing to wait. So glad for you that your back has healed well! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!

    Hi Liz, just came across your channel and love it! We had a few foggy windows in our RV and had a mobile glass company come to do an estimate for repair. His solution was to either have the windows replaced or break and remove one of the panes of glass (I'm assuming the interior pane) 😁 so then there would be no more fogging. I didn't proceed with either so still have the foggy windows.

    Never heard of being able to defog windows! Wow…another gem of a video! Thank you for this pearl. It’s interesting, my friends all tell me I should get a furry friend but, I feel at this time it would not be fair as they need a lot of attention for all the love they give. Finding someone to take care of them while in an emergency (also had back surgery) would be difficult! If I had a request for a topic it would be (among many) to see if you’ll somehow share your nature photography, I can only imagine the amazing sunsets you must capture. Closer to your 100,000 mark :)

    Hey Liz consider an ittybitty dog, like a pure bread yorkie for example. They can run around in the rv, you can take em bike riding with a front carrier backpack, and on hikes- bring the carrier, they are light (4-6 lbs purebread)so no issue on the back, and they can go into places where no dogs allowed via a small gym bag like pet carrier. (Nobody knows, or can tell!) Mine has gone grocery shopping, into restaurants, on beaches where no dogs allowed all using these two types of carriers. They are just as much as a companion as a big dog, but a lot more portable, can be carried in one arm no problem. Walk once a day max, as they survive because they play ball inside just as well! I live in Calgary, winters suck, we don’t go for walks much in this winter weather so we play inside- no big deal! It’s just an idea…🍻

  • @LizAmazing

    @LizAmazing

    Жыл бұрын

    That's a great idea. I ended up with a Shiba Inu with Mango because I have no tolerance for barking. He barked maybe once every three months. Yes, you read that right! My other want is a dog that has soft fur. I know with a Yorkie there's definitely no guarantee you'd not get a barker, or any small dog that I know of. If you think of any, let me know. I do like your idea of going smaller for sure, thank you!!!

    I was really expecting the first question you answered to be, "How much less expensive is getting the windows redone like this vs. replacing them altogether?" :-) It's entirely possible you said this and I missed it, but I am curious. Thanks Liz. P.S. We had to put our dog down just before x-mas and we had her for 14.5 years too. One of the hardest things I've had to do. But about 3 weeks ago we got another dog! I completely understand where you're coming from, as I'm in a house and walking this new dog (has a lot of energy I'd forgotten about) is a real vocation. Thanks again.
