Another option would be aerosol spray paint for plastic models or plastic miniatures. Testers is well known for their modeling supplies. Try larger comic book stores with miniature gaming supplies for the other type of plastic compatible paint.

I had the whole top floor (converted attic) of a small 1940s house when I was 18. My step-dad told me I could paint it any way I wanted. So I went with hot pink, because, of course, it was the 80s and.... Forever after he called that room the "womb room." LOL

WOW! Totally impressed you were able to cut down that couch. • You had me lost when you painted the cabinets black, but I stayed tuned to the magical mystery tour. Results are astounding, and brilliant choice using the black hardware (oil rubbed bronze could also work). Bree, you are SUCH an artist, and it looks like you've chosen the right guy to share your life with. Congrats on all of it! Looking forward to the adventure.

We did a black ceiling with light gray walls with natural stone floors and shower in a bathroom remodel. We used brushed nickle fixtures with a metropolitan flare. It is amazing that the ceiling just faded away with it being black. Just feels so nice in that bathroom. Black can be awesome if used in the right way.

My brother painted his room dark purple and the ceiling dark green (he struggled sleeping for work and needed complete darkness). When he moved out i took his room and loved it. But I have to say when my mom and i painted it beige when I moved back home years later, it was so much brighter. As a teen i loved the dark but I don't think i could do it now. Absolutely love the progress you guys have made and can't wait to see whats next 🥰😀

My Black horror story: Our youngest son bought his home at 21 years old. His favorite colors Black Red and White.. He proceeds to buy the paint..in flat! Super thin, on a white wall..but not only that he wants Red on the top of 2 walls, with black on the bottom then white on the top of one wall, red on bottom and red on the top of the last wall and white on the bottom... With GREY ceilings... Of course I told him I would help before he told me the color scheme 😭😭😭. I could NOT convince this child of mine that it was going to be a long process...lets just say the the cutting alone took 3 full days 😭😭 and the red and black needed 4 coats each ...NEVER AGAIN... sold the house with 2 years and joined the Navy 🤣 oh children!

Another great video. Your family is so talented and you attract/find like minded talented people. Ellie and Jared are fine examples of that. As far as black goes. We have and accent wall the is charcoal black and the wall opposite is orange. The overall color in the house is a very light gray for walls and ceilings. Other accent walls in the house include green, yellow, teal, red and purple. Yes, it may sound like I live in a rainbow but it really pops in our mid-century modern home. Thanks for sharing and don’t distress, be happy!

Jared, nice save with the couch with the help of Bryson! It looks perfect with the three inches removed! Bree, put chalk board up on the fridge doors. I think it would look really cute. Or even white board. That would cover the number imprint in the styrofoam. I like the kind of yellowish cabinets from the polyurethane coating because it does look better with the couch. It makes it look more "warm". Very nice job plus several coats of paint to protect the wood below! I think it looks much more updated with that distressed look instead of the "fake wood" look.

I have experience with a black room, my daughter painted her room black. An accent wall I could see, but it was BLACK! I love how close you all are. I love seeing what every bodies up to. Bryson is such a problem solver, fearless and hungry to learn. I hope he stays on the homestead as he is perfect man to keep it going and has such a brilliant mind, no problem ever seems to daunting. I hope Bree has a great year traveling, what’s great bonding experience. I’m always so impressed by shaes creativity, but I miss her. I guess she’s more of a city girl. Garrets family is growing so fast, and they are a great team. I’m glad they include us in their lives. Mom and Dad, love you guys. Your such a great couple, great parents, strong leaders and great support for your amazing kids. Maybe you guys could rent out earthbag homes in the winter, or in exchange for labor on the homestead. I’m an on and off again you tube watcher, I get busy and suddenly it’s been a couple months but then I catch up on all the changes and am constantly shocked how grown up the kids are, lol.

Hey don't know if yall have been told this yet but as someone who has lived in an RV, you should change all of your locks. Most are similar shapes and very easy to get into with other keys. As for the painting on plastic, there is a special primer I see quite a few RV renovators but it works on most all surfaces.

Also! The yellow tinge on the walls really compliments the yellow couch! Looks great y'all!

I really like those cabinets; I like the distressed look, myself, but not super distressed. Good job; I’d live in it. 😁

Bree, you should paint beach themed stuff, on some small canvases, and put them in those spots. Dolor Tree has some. Not sure if they would be big enough.

Looking 👍. I bet Jarod's heart sank when those spring fell off. But Bryson's super muscles saved the day.

My mom &dad painted our living room black with light silver trim around winders& doors. The door itself was black &silver tan. The drapes were gold &silver lace

Our family /cinema room is black on two walls, cream on one wall and a wall of windows. It works because of the amount of natural light coming into the room and white woodwork. The fridge freezer, best option would be to use DC fix self adhesive vinyl. It's easy to use and hard wearing, very easy to clean too. Amazon stock multiple designs, stay with the dcfix it's the best one and gose on like a dream, I marbled my kitchen countertop and I covered a fridge at work, desks, shoe shelves all in different designs and they all held up really well.

Looks great Bree and Jared!! For painting the plastic trim around the fridge, I would see about sanding it with some low grit, rough sand paper to give the paint something to stick to. Not too sure if that would work forever, but could be a fix for now, and it's what seems logical to me. Sanding it, as I'm sure you know, will give the paint something to stick to and not chip of flake off as quickly. Best of luck!!

You need to make a small cabinet to put between the couch and the wall at the one end where the couch does not quite fit between the two walls. It is the area right next to the fridge. It will be a very skinny cabinet but you may have a tiny place to put a something beside the couch, like a bottle of water. The skinny cabinet could also be a place to put a small pull out folding table, into for storage. The trailer is looking good, great job.

You two are doing a great job. I would take some trim boards and install them on the bathroom door and the walls on each side which would make them look more high-end and would make them more cohesive with the cabinets. Keep up the good work. Wish I lived closer to you all. I think we would be great friends. Stay cool.

That came out really nice! Well done 👍 On the subject of black rooms, I've known a couple in my life, both of them really nice. I wouldn't say they made them look smaller, as you tend to stop noticing the walls, after a while, as your eyes tend to be naturally drawn to other things - the things you want people to notice. One room stands out in my memory the best - the only things you really noticed were the record collection (my friend had upwards of 5000, all catalogued on shelves flanking both sides of the fireplace, plus a couple of wooden chests along one wall that also doubled as seating), the window, and a wicker hanging basket in one corner. The other room was a recording studio. Black works very well in studios 👍

My brother and I painted our bedroom peacock blue. As a later in life visit to my parents house I repainted the walls a sedate green. Those peacock bile walls would assault you every time you walked in. No good. Lol Good understanding parents. 👍🏼. Paint on!
