RV Garage Toy Hauler Traveling with Can-Am Spyder Motorcycle

Thank you for checking out this video. We had a heck of a time figuring out what we wanted to do to make our CanAM secure. Well it is secure now for sure and we have had no further issues when we travel around with the RV. This product we purchased from Harber Freight was great but we did need to modify it to make it work for us. Note: What works for us works but may not work for you. Assess your situation and you will make the right decision. Link for the item used is below.

Awesome job of fabricating a more convenient and secure way of stowing the Spyder. Well done Bob.

Thank you again for watching this video just mentioned in the previous content I do not know why I'm having trouble with comments not showing up on my actual KZread videos but I have found it we appreciate it thank you for watching and Bob does put a lot of thought into everything that he does before he does it because he wants to do it once and have it right and make it work for us it's been that way my whole life.

Amazingly detailed information and instructions. If we ever swap out to a toy hauler we'll know how to secure our toys. Maybe even a Can-Am... Great Video Sir Bob. OLT 🙏😃

Good idea using the wheel chocks up front. Never realized how tight the Spider is in the garage. You could also run a strap diagonally from each front chock and attach to a point (wheel, frame, footpeg ect) on the rear to help keep it forced against the chocks and diagonally secured. Plus you wouldn't run over them with the front wheels being separated. Best of luck

Thank you so much for the comment center video and for watching. The bed is always in the down position we never raise it Bob just tilt his head as he drives in the motor function still works fine if we wanted to move that up and down but we just don't have a need to. Just a reminder our Can-Am is a 2019 I don't know what your Can-Am is if it's 2021 and our box it would not fit because it was a little bit different but I don't know on the newer versions if they linked in the toy box. There's room to the right/left of rear tires as that is where we store our folding bikes when on each side. We do have two small box in front of the Can-Am

We do have a video up where we show that we built garage boxes in the back of the toy hauler and in the front and that is fine as well with the motorcycle in there. We always have a piece of foam as protection in the front and the back just something we do even though it's not been an issue. Definitely want to look at how you are able to strap it down so that way you can make sure it doesn't move around. If you have any other questions let us know thank you so much and enjoy your day

Will the new model spyder fit in the garage too? I though I heard you comment on it. But I can’t remember where.

I'm sorry I missed this question some how. New can am is 6" too long. That is why we did the 2019. Thanks!

@@HetteshWorld I've been spec'ing out a CanAm for the same application. They went to a longer top trunk in 2020 so the "Limited" models are 111" long and the toy box on the your rig and the new 42FSKG spec out at 110" deep. From your video it looks like I want at least 8" of wiggle room will fit the spyder comfortably. The F3-T Spyder specs out at 102" so it looks like that will fit, but it deletes the top trunk. From your use of the Spyder, would not having the top trunk be a major issue?

Great video, thanks. We too are full time and have a spyder and a 399 momentum but are thinking of switching to a riverstone like yours. When the spyder is loaded, does the bed come all the way down without hitting the windshield? Are you able to store anything in the space between the back wheel of the Spyder and the wall?

Welcome to our channel and thank you so much for subscribing and asking a question. We have a 2021 Riverstone and we have a 2019 Can-Am Spyder and it fits in there just perfect we keep the bed all the way down no problems.

The bed can move up and down if we would need it to but we do not need it too. We do have a video where we added in tool boxes if you're interested to see that. We do have a space to the left and right of the front wheel where we keep a small carton on each side and we are able to have a space near the rear tire to the left and the right or we store our folding bikes. Now the 2020 Can-Am Spyder would not fit in our RV it's 5 in longer. But the newer River Stones I don't know we are actually trying to get a meeting with Riverstone to find out information like that at this time. So thank you so much for asking the question and let us know if you have any others oh also as a side note make sure you figure out how you're going to strap your Can-Am down so it doesn't squirm around you need to have a good way to hold it

Thanks for the reply! We have a 2015 spyder and think it will fit. So glad you added a note about the electric bicycles. We have two folding lectric bikes that we are always trying to invent and new and better way to store while in the road. Inside the garage might just do the trick.

@@lucillemcguirk9306 yeah it works out great and we actually have some old rugs from our kitchen that we set them on so they don't slide around even though they're already inside of a bag always thinking about extra protection for everything lol
