RV Fridge Fires -- The Science Behind Them

Dometic and Norcold absorption RV refrigerators have an inherent failure mode that the recalls do not address. The failure mode is due to a lack of boiler management. The Fridge Defend detects the cooling unit boiler temperature, which in turn detects if the boiler pump is flowing refrigerant or not. When the refrigerant stops flowing, the heat to the cooling unit boiler results in damage to the fridge. This damage not only kills the fridge over the long run, the cooling unit failures can result in RV fires.

We have fun with this stuff also, as my wife and I are also ME's
I purchased coachman 150 Blast camper ,it has a Dominic refrigerator, trying to get it running will not start, need help please. No book to fine out how many cubic feet it is, need trouble shooting for wiring I am stumped?
Why don't Dometic and Norcold build this technology into their products? All they offer is recalls that shut down the refrigerator after the damage has been done. Perhaps because it would reduce their sales of aftermarket replacements?
It disturbs me to see that such a situation could arise from the fridge being a mere 3 degrees off level. I doubt I would ever be able to routinely level my trailer to less than 3 degrees from perfectly level. But this graphic data suggests that RV fridge failures should be far more rampant than they are, doesn't it?

Yes it is disturbing to see that the fridge can overheat at 3 degrees off-level. There are many factors involved when it comes to the overheating of the boiler. No, this data shows how the sodium chromate gets destroyed, it depends on how often the boiler is allowed to overheat, the damage is cumulative, and one has no idea if the boiler is overheating or not unless they have the Fridge Defend.
If fridge fires are #2 cause of RV fires, what is #1?

The number 1 cause of RV fires is from electrical wiring in the engine compartment.
