RV Camping at Clarkco State Park in Quitman, Mississippi

#retrorvrecon #rvcamping #clarkcostatepark
Hey Folks,
This RV Camping campground is Clarkco State Park just South of Meridian, Mississippi. This Mississippi State Park has 43 RV Camping sites all with full hookups. At this park you will find beautiful Ivy Lake, many nature trails, an observation tower, a splash pad & playground for children, a boat launch, and a few pavilions for gatherings. We set up our Retro 189r in site 22, which is on the lake, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet at this campground. As you will see, site 22 is pretty secluded.
We visited Dunn’s Falls on the Chunky River during our stay which is located less than half an hour away in Enterprise, Mississippi. Along with the very impressive waterfall, there is also an old mill there you can explore.
We do these campground reviews and drive thru videos of every place we go rv camping to help as many fellow RVers as possible. If you find value in this video, and our channel, go ahead and hit the subscribe button. It’s free to subscribe and hit that notification bell too so you’ll know when we upload our next video:) We’d appreciate it as it helps other RVers to see our videos.
We do these videos for EVERY CAMPGROUND...EVERY SITE...EVERY TIME:)
Happy Trails & Happy Camping!

We stayed in one of cabins for our honeymoon, that was 1993 . We stayed out there a couple of years back and there was a wedding , and they released the flying lanterns. Super cool memories.

At first we started going to Mississippi campgrounds out of convienence. But then we realized how many very nice campgrounds yall have. Angel and I still enjoy them and will continue to visit them. Thank you for watching our video Nick Hinton.

I am so glad to have stumbled across your channel. You have covered a lot of the campgrounds in my area of the country and will be a really nice resource for trip planning. I grew up in eastern Mississippi and my mother would take our family and some community kids swimming at Clarkco as a treat. Now that I live away from there it will be a good central spot to camp and visit places and people we seldom get to see. Dunn's Falls is a blast. Back in the day it was county property and none of the structures were there. It was kind of like a country kids water park. lol A couple of other off the beaten path sites visitors may consider are Stuckey's Bridge and a Civil Ware era cemetery. Stuckey's bridge is northeast of Enterprise and involves driving on a dirt road. It has an interesting legend associated with it. The Civil War cemetery is south of Quitman on MS Hwy 18. It was used as the burial place for Confederate soldiers that died at a local hospital.

That's some good information Alex! I just did a quick search on "Stuckey's Bridge", man, I bet there are a lot of stories around that area. We're going to take a drive to the bridge the next time we're in that area, I'll be sure to take my camera.😃😁 Thanks Alex for the information and thanks again for watching our video! Hey TerryX2 You're so right, we love the sounds of nature. Often while hiking we stop and just listen. Yes, a lot of these sites are woodsy which makes the sounds of nature just a little more enjoyable. Thanks for stopping by to watch our video. Happy Trails & Happy Camping!

Bob, from what I remember most sites (RV Pad) are level all the way around. I also remember that Clarkco's sites are overal exceptional.👍 The loop we were on has a sharp turnaround at the end of the loop. Thanks for the question Bob and thanks for watching our video. Mike and Angel

@@RetroRVRecon well I know by facts I got a ticket like at one time I pulled up to the stop sign stop completely pulled up just enough to see down the road and started off I got a ticket for failing to stop at the stop sign even though I had stopped and then pulled forward to see down the road from where the stop sign was
