I busted on it!

I would love to see this old truck restored. It is very doable. Old square-bodies are very easy to restore. My old 74 K20 was also a plow truck out of Iowa. Onawa Iowa specifically. Had to replace the whole bed, the front fenders, front leaf spring hangers on both sides, and still have some work left on the cab. Went from very rotten to just a little rusty very quickly. And it was very rusty. Just about as bad as this 76. Who knows, my truck and this 76 might meet one day.

I love step side trucks. Been waiting to see this vid and look forward to more! Love that you include your son, great way to pass on the knowledge and keep old cars alive!

I have a black 76 2wd. Factory 454, factory tach, am/FM/CB (and the factory Delco cb mic)....I found a stepside bed for cheap, it was less rusty. Big block was built in the early 90s, flat tops, cam, Holley Intake, and ran really good until the cam wiped a lobe. I love the bicentennial trucks. Mine had a stack of 76 bicentennial quarters glued to the dash, so I really like the silver dollar Chevy idea

Step side trucks was the only way to go my dad had a few old chevy trucks, nice to see one going back into service Great job by the both of you, Kevin don't realize how much fun he missed

Currently looking for a 1980-85 Ford F-350 Crewcab with a long bed setup. I want to put a stepside on it from the 67-72 era when Ford made stepsides 8 and 9 ft long. Prefer a stepside.

I believe it was vice grip garage that showed us that trick of mixing the oil stabilizer in the oil jug. Love the channel! They keep catching me on summit racing’s website at work and they say “you really need a project car” so I’m hoping I can find one soon!

I almost feel like with where this truck is starting, you could actually make it pretty damn nice by the end compared to the Holey Goat and the Roadrunner 😂 I'm not necessarily a pickup guy, but I already love this thing

Old washing machine cases work a treat for floor pans, dryer cases are too thin, & they already have pre installed 90’s

Love square bodies and the fact it's a step side is a bonus.

I'm glad Kevin from junkyard digs introduced us to you I love these old Square bodies have had a few in my day great trucks hard to kill a small block even when they're not running right and sounding like s*** they still keep on trucking love the video can't wait to see it done

Reminding me a lot of some old cars I had that only had floors courtesy of a broken Maytag washing machine. Lots of fun guys.

I feel a midlife crises coming on. My first driving job was for the Milwaukee Journal, in 1977. I ran resupply routes in 1 ton Suburbans with just a drivers seat. The rest packed full of newspapers. They were really good stout trucks. They survived teenage drivers like me jumping them (not when full). I'm glad to see this one getting some love.

This will be a great winter project!!

Added this channel to the weekly rotation of car saving shenanigans. I always feel like trucks like this would fit perfectly into TV series where the world has gone full zombieland. Hence never pull off the plow if it has one, you'll never know when you'll need it 😁🤘

Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos. Remind me of vgg before Derek hit it big. Nothing against derek he is awesome but I appreciate your attitude work effort and getting your kiddo involved.

Just discovered your channel via junkyard digs. Dude! I love what you're doing! Those turds you work on remind me of what we drove in high school in south west Missouri in the late 70's. They may have been turds, but we were proud of them just the same and it was all we could afford. The holy goat is the coolest car ever! Great to see J.D. working right beside you. He's an awesome dude! I just subscribed and am going back to watch past videos as well as telling all my friends. Keep up the good work! !!!!!

Love the channel, it's interesting that you use epoxy and what not, it makes sense because anytime you weld you are giving a spot to rust from the weld. Glad Kevin hooked you up and can't wait to see more progress. I didn't know your channel existed until he uploaded the first video.

Take the canopy and some pallets and make yourself a little shed with it, more storage is always good!! The trailer load was epic dude. I do know those 1 inch carb spacers take away some bottom end power, but nothing you will notice with that thing 😃 hahaha fyi, Petrified poop is called copulight!!! I got tons of fire opel, jade,lots o rocks!!

That was an entertaining video for sure! Had to grin when Kevin was laughing as you were trying to load up. I had a 77 stepside square body for a long time, so you made me smile for sure. Used to subscribe to JD, got aggravated when they ruined the AZ Bronco trying to run it off the factory fuel tank even when they saw the condition of the fuel coming from the tank. Been meaning to become a member for some time, finally did today.

Before changing that transmission try to top up the transmission fluid to the correct level. The fluid quantity that you' ve lost might just be what's causing your transmission to run only in reverse. Very entertaining video.
