i laughed so hard when mark got mad at the way he said he was being represented close to the start of this. it was an exact conversation him and bob had in rust lmao. that was all you mark. love ya bro

I love watching Mark gradually slip into insanity over the absurdity of the dialogue XD. I think the developer purposefully exaggerated everyone's mannerisms to make the game as ridiculous as possible for humor purposes.

Mark: okay, I can do a better british accsent then that Also Mark: *starts talking australien*

I really hope that there's a reason for the characters being so over-exaggerated later on. I remember feeling similar in A New Home, but it made sense after the reveal. I get that it's intentional, and the developers don't actually think any of them act like that, but it gets to the point where I feel it's overdone, even when it's SUPPOSED to be. The conversations with Yami, Dan, and Megatron were particularly cringey. Devs, you also mentioned at one point that there are more emotional parts scattered around the map that Mark didn't find. If a game is only emotional if you look for it, it takes away from the experience quite a bit. Most people probably won't look for extra content in a game if it's not already very good. It's not Mark's fault he didn't find it, he shouldn't have to for the game to be enjoyable. And I'm not saying he doesn't like it. I hope this doesn't come across as rude. I definitely understand how much time and love you put into making this, and it IS appreciated. I get why the save system needed to be the way it was, as you've explained before. More along the lines of constructive criticism/questioning. You don't have to make something to see that you don't like experiencing it. I can't make movies, but that doesn't mean that I can't point out the bad in them. This game isn't bad, don't get me wrong. I like it, but I do see how it could be improved. Still, thanks for making this, it's a pretty fun experience overall.

Paramedicorn Heyoo! First criticism to understand our save system before hand WHOOP!! :P They are over-exaggerated for a reason, it's kind of hard to explain without giving it away, and even after you reach the end most people still probably wouldn't understand it (My faith in humanity plummeted when people began completely misinterpreting the game, including Mark), which is why I plan to comment on the last video the entire plot line and explain all the little things so everything makes sense, as it is all thought out and connected, though it may not be readily obvious. I still think the convo's went on longer than they needed to, but in all reality that's what gaming commentators do! They go on and on and on, because it's their job to make every second of even the most boring game interesting, so they usually drown on about the same thing, if that makes sense XD There are SOMEWHAT emotional parts (more nearing the end) scattered about, but they're not necessary. They're a subplot, so not necessary to when, but they make the symbolism of the game change. And if we made it 100% necessary, or too obvious to do these things, it wouldn't be as meaningful. The fact they're optional is meant to show your choices in the game, just as in real life, influence the world around you. You can choose to do something, and change someone's life for the better, or sit back and do nothing and watch as they crumble apart. It's terrible when you miss them (as we look like assholes XD), but when you do the things, it creates an atmosphere and a feeling indescribable by any other way. Take for example the neighbors house, Mark missed the important part that would've change their lives, and now bad things will happen there instead of good. Mark will hate us, but it was his fault XD It's meant to by for symbolic purposes. And let's be honest, the fact that doing something changes what happens in the game is AWESOME for an RPG Maker game XD But yeah, to some up, they kind of had to be optional and not thrown in your face to work properly (though to be fair, it's VERY obvious if he'd actually take 2 seconds to LOOK at the islands XD) And you don't seem rude at all, and I'm happy to read your comment and respond! Thanks for being respectful about the way you went about asking, it's always much nicer to read than people just being plain rude when they don't fully understand our thoughts :3

DecreeB You know what would be awesome? I'm sure Markiplier is playing this game on the first go to get a real "first-time", authentic experience. So maybe since this was dedicated to him, the developers could suggest Mark to replay the game to get various events triggered in the game. He doesn't have to record it. He can just comment on it in a vlog if he finds very significant things. :) That way everybody be happy! XD

Markimoola should be a real thing, we can use it as credits that will give us a discount at Markipliers spreadshirt shop. We can earn Markimoola by simply watching Markipliers videos as well as liking and sharing them. Also buying something from the spreadshirt shop will give you Markimoola toward your next purchase.

I just think it'd be a great way to maximize views and shares per video for not only Markiplier but many other smaller channels that create their own discount currency as well. Think of it as a reward points system on KZread for each channel you're subscribed to. I don't know how it would work or be initiated, but I think it'd be really cool and fun to earn Markimoola on Markipliers channel and BossBux on Jacks channel if that's what it'd be called.

Scarlet Phoenix the game has very very few saves for the amount of content it throws at you, meaning when you die and get a game over, you have to go back and play what you just did again... and in a place such as the frogger part, you end up dying alot... and that means you have to fight the shopping cart again, run around to collect all the items again, including the gas can... then go finish the frogger bit.

Kino K I get what you mean, but you'd be surprised by the amount of RPG's, MMORPG's and JRPG's out there that have dialogues that goes on for even longer, sure JRPG's such as this game made in RPG Maker does not deliver dialogues in the most impressive way, it's very boring and time consuming, but so was dialogue from games like Final Fantasy and Pokemon which are both RPG games. The point is, the game does what the genre intends it to do, tell a story through dialogue

Mark my dear, I honestly think the creators of the game purposely made everyone in the game more exaggerated and/or pompous. It's more of a...parody of you guys for lack of a better word. I don't totally think that they were being extremely serious with your personalities when developing this game. I honestly find it endearing comparing the real gamers to their counterparts in this production as it is quite hilarious to see the differences and similarities paired with all of the references! It was very well made if I do say so myself! ^u^

I love the Hatchet series, I recommend reading it. It's about a boy, Brian, and he is going to visit his dad in Canada, cause his parents got a divorce. So he was on a one person plane with a pilot, but the pilot has a heart attack and dies right there. Brian has to navigate the plane on his own with no prior knowledge of what to do. He has to live in the Canadian forest on his own for 2 years. He nearly dies about 5-6 times, but it's great. Gary Paulsen is a terrific author

I guess the portrayal of Danny is less baffling if you assume it's his NSP persona and not the actual guy. Though even that's not really right.

I work with game developing myself and i really think this game is great exept for a few things. The dialoge is horrible. Too few save points. If you as a developer are going to put bullshit ways to die randomly in a game you Need to have more save points. Like the firetruck-part was not fun to watch, or probably play. Hard games are really fun! But that is not hard. That is bullshit.

Scotty0923k I agree about the dialogue. I understand that developer wants to put in as many references as possible but they drag on way too long. Most of the references can be done in a sentence or two and a lot of the dialogue was just filler. I also don't like the save system. I guess the developer wants to give the player a feel of what the other characters mean when they say the area is difficult because if you die, you have to start all over but the player doesn't have to experience that to understand that. Having a character explain that is enough. Also, the start of every area is basically the same except with different people and slight tweaks to the dialogue to throw in a reference. I don't like that since it starts to feel predictable. Meet Mark's friend, friend says that area is too difficult, fight, repeat. I hope if the developer does make more games, he takes into consideration that just because you can make a reference doesn't mean you have to, to have an easy to access save system and to trim down the dialogue and get straight to the point. It is a good game in some ways and it's great for the developer to make it for Mark but I also feel like the developer can learn from Mark's commentary on the game.

I just watched presentable library, that game is so sad and it seemed to tear you into pieces. Also, TINY BUG TIM IS KEWL :DDD
