Sieht schön aus, hält nicht lange!
Nicely covered, but the problem is from the other side of the sheet, uncle :-)
Very good! Reminds me of my time at the construction training centre over forty years ago: there were a few civil construction apprentices (concreters) who fixed the rusted-through floor pans of their cars with reinforced concrete. Didn't pass the mandatory TÜV inspection, though. Small mercies.
You are "Janusz"!!!
Don't let that get wet
Actually You can stop rust , open it up, clean it out, kill the rust with a good neutralizer, and undercoating, ether glue or weld in a patch panel. Lasts for years.
hell yea. out of sight out of mind! will be waiting for part 2 redo in like 6 months cause it's bubbling from nonprepped rust 😂
“Perfect condition paint”
That might look good but in 3 months time the rust will be back worse than before. It should have been cut back to good metal, new steel welded in, then filled, prepared and painted , not a botch job
May I suggest a treatment of naval jelly and a brushing with a wire wheel before applying body filler. You need to neutralize the rust first.😮😮😮😮
The gift that keeps giving
Out the driveway warranty
Just like the flowers of spring, both will blossom.😂
No rust neutralizer on the opposite side will still keep rusting and spreading like cancer. I guess for an older car you don't plan on keeping like a classic that's fine work.
Tidy enough repair, get it sold move onto the next.
People who fix other people cars like that should be put to jail asap!
Nicely done, but cutting out the rot is better than disguising it imho
You didn't get the rust out u just cover it up
Once rust starts, you can't stop it.

rust converters (?)

@@NikosPer What does a rust converter have to do with anything? From my understanding once you have rust you have to start replacing panels. Slowly but surely it's coming back so it's a done over and over again. You weld on new structure but slowly but surely it's gonna come back.
@NikosPer

@@DonaldAJr there are special nozzle sprayers that spray rust converters in all intricate nooks and crannies, after the first grinding off rusty parts - inside door panels etc. Look it up, Russians do it at least a decade.
That's the way shady wheeler dealers do the job.
Magnet helps to detect jobs like that especially on cars older than 2000 because they were build out of metal not like modern cars they're build up to 70% out of plastic 😢
What was that???😮😮😮
LOL.. say hello next year
be bubbling in no time great work
Duh, the rust is still there. Do it right!
great job , theirs no way that will ever rust again. you should fix the rust on the frame the same way!!
Thats what they do to a quick flip vehicle
Maybe if bodyshop labor wasn't so expensive, more ppl would take their cars in to get rusty patch panels cut out and welded on. Who wants to get a $5,000 bodyshop bill for something like this? The welding bill will cost more than what thecar is worth.
Thats a crap repair the rust is still there and will come back within a few months
That's like packing the pumpkin with sawdust so it doesn't make noise brake fluid in the transmission so it doesn't slip
Should have gotten hes welded friend in or whoever to cut that out then do your thing unless the client actually didnt have money and asked to do it that way for now as budget it tight
Straight up for sale after that shit show of a... I can't even call that a repair, described as 1 careful lady owner no rust dints or marks
Fair play. Cheap repair. Does the job. Someone needs to do a before and 3yrs after on repairs like this - however. I'm not convinced either way until then.
This is the way we used to do body work. I see from the comments that this crappy quality of work is not acceptable.
Hack job!
Give it 2-3 months and that will be the same again
It must be primer first be applied prio5to putty, corrosion will easily attack to un-primed surface even putty is applied And finished with paint.
That's a good reason to do a Carfax if possible to find out where a car has been registered and also looking under a car thoroughly is important .
That’s awesome! Solid work
Rust is like cancer if you don’t get it all out it comes back.
If there is through hole, it means metal inside needs to be protected somehow too. Outside ok but protect and weld for long lasting results
Just hiding the rust
That rust was caused by water/salt retention. It starts with a little dirt and flaking rust plugging the drains. It is rusting from the inside out. If rust inhibitor is not applied along with cleaning out the dirt rust accumulation, you have fixed nothing.
The sand blaster The cut off wheel The metal patch And the welder have all left the chat.
1 lady owner, no pets, no issues with car, quick sale, moving overseas!
you get what you paid for Great job
When the metal was bare and exposed why didn’t he heat it up to remove potential moisture then spray it with a rust inhibitor then prime, sand paint etc ?
⚠️I avoid buying resprayed cars like the plague, and I can spot them a mile off
This is why you buy classic 40 50 60 year old cars in states like Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico....
Looks good, and it will last long enough to sell it, but it’s deception. A job worth doing is worth doing right or at least put more work in it to make it last longer. Try to grind as much rust you can with a drill bit or pointy grinding rock, knock it in some, then fill OR if your metal skills is good, cut a thin piece of metal and weld or rivet it in then fill edges.
That should rust right back through nicely 👌
These are the people you never buy cars from. Will say never been in an accident, no rust.
This being the reason I pack magnets
You body worked over rust nice job buddy
It does look pretty, good though
Did a great job painting the jackstands also
Awesome job bro 👍
helped me fix all the rust on my iroc so i can sell it thanks
Didn't cut out the hole and weld in with good metal; but even if you didn't want to go that far, no rust treatment, no zinc primer, no etch primer...... bodge it and run comes to mind
The best way to do it would be let it dry and then cover the area with diamond plate so that the stones and rock never hit the rocker panels. that’s what I did to my truck and I’m going on the 10th year with no rust
Rust never sleeps
Metal should have been treated with Rust converter
Good idea to cut out rust and it is in a prescribed area😮
