I am a Serb. My grand grand father died fighting in a WW1, and my grand father was fighting in a WW2. Every time Russian brothers were our alies and we always were on the right side of the history. I am so proud of my Russian and all Soviet brothers, and of my brave Serbs. Glory to the heroes!

Only that Serbia under Nedic government was an official nazi ally until 1945. Croat Tito led partisans that were constituted of all Yugoslav nations and suffered most victims together with the Soviets and Poland.

I really don't know about that but I learned that Hitler was so desperate for oil back then and he diverted his compgain on Moscow to south to get oil, which was his biggest mistake...I might be wrong but I think that he start the war toward the east and going west was his mistake bcuz England and france are easy and usa was not involved so he had to invade russia first...

Russia suffered but in percentage the ones that suffered the most were Germany itself, Poland and Yugoslavia. Poland more than half of their people were displaced during wartime and after the war during the eastern bloc in the Cold War. Unfortunately the Cold War brought the shackles back onto the countries that thought they were free

Очень страшно, я всегда думаю, смогла ли бы я участвовать в той войне, уже в детстве задумывалась. Дед рассказывал, что провоевал только месяц, второй, в бою оторвало ногу, был связистом. Ползли ночью с проводами налаживать связь. Юный мальчик с ним был, немецкий знал хорошо, услышал, что рядом немцы про атаку говорили, вот они быстрее доложили командиру. На следующий день танки шли, за это был награждён. дед говорил, что фильмы не могут передать тот грохот боя.

1942 год. Лето. Мой дед умер в битве за Кавказ. Земля ему пухом. Слава героям Второй Мировой Войны🎖🪖

Да и сколько не погибло от своих чекистах... и от заградительных отрядах... и сколько не замерзли, и голодом не померли. От поджигателей деревень.... от заминированных городах которых потом всеми оставшимся жителями, и противниками месте взрывали??? Потом это всю показывали как бомбардировок немецких самолётов...

He used to tell lot of stories about Berlin and 2nd World War...Now through this historical video, I could see history moving around and how horrible was the war...Amazing All the people in the world should make commitment they will never fight a war which brought so much miseries and agony to mankind.

Мой два деда Касимов Калкен дед со стороны отца и Касенов Рахимбек дед со стороны матери, признавшись в 1941 году из Казахстана, прошли всю войну от Сталинграда до Берлина. Один дед после Победы был комендантом одного из районов Берлина и в 1946 году вернулся домой, а второй дед после взятия Берлина, был на восстановлении г.Брест в Белоруссии, где смотрел за пленными, которые восстанавливали разрушенный в первые же дни войны город, после в 1946 г. вернулся на родину в Казахстан. Всех поздравляю с очередной годовщиной Великой Победы!!! Пусть во всем мире, будет только мир. Привет из Казахстана от внука фронтавиков Победителей!

I am a Russian citizen living in Vladivostok. I am very proud of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who saved the world from Nazism. The Soviet people lost about 27 million people in the Second World War. The most brutal battles of the entire war were on the eastern front. In the countries of the former USSR, the eastern front is called the Great Patriotic War. The name is because the entire Soviet people stood up to fight Hitlerism. Someone fought at the front, someone was a home front worker, and someone was a partisan in the territories occupied by the Nazis. Almost all families in our country had at least 1 hero of this terrible war. In Russia, they say, Neither who is forgotten, nor what is not forgotten,,. My great-grandfather, Valentin Vasilyevich Teslya, was born and lived in Stavropol in 1924. When the Germans attacked the Soviet Union, he was 17 years old. He went to the front in late 1941 - early 1942. He fought in Stalingrad. In 1943, he lost his leg on a mine, but after replacing his leg with a prosthesis, he continued to fight. He participated in the Battle of Berlin. He died in 1987. Я гражданин России, проживающий во Владивостоке. Я очень горжусь нашими дедами и прадедами, спасшими мир от нацизма. Советский народ потерял во второй мировой войне около 27 миллионов человек. Самые жестокие бои всей войны шли на восточном фронте. В странах бывшего СССР восточный фронт называют Великой Отечественной Войной. Название такое, потому что на борьбу с гитлеризмом встал весь советской народ. My dad was Scottish, as I am. He was drafted into the British (ie "English") army in 1939. He was in action at the battle of El Alamein, among other places. He sustained shrapnel wounds to his back. His 19-year-old brother, who was also in the army, was killed by a land mine.

Indians, Irish and Scottsh did most of the fighting for British. Afterall British are good at managing not at fighting.

More often than not, scenes like this were acted out in parts of Berlin that were fully under Russian Control. They would re-enact maneuvers or assaults for the camera. Only on occasion were shots taken right at the front lines

Мой дедушка,самый добрый и веселый в мире дедушка. Ушел в летное училище мальчиком....в 1937. Потом Финская,потом отечественная...потом еще на востоке. И вернулся в 1947. Господи. 10 лет на войне. В мае 1940 он познакомился с бабушкой. А в августе 41 родился мой папа. Я смотрю на своего сына. Ему 12. Смог бы он пойти на фронт ...на 10 лет. Уйти в 18 и вернуться в 28....

Полагаю, ваш родственник. Светлая память ему и всему народу-победителю. А вот мой прадед, к сожалению, не дожил. Сам с Цимлянска Ростовской области, а погиб где-то под Феодосией в 42, принимая участие в Керченско-Феодосийской десантной операции.

He lived his life in the village of Mendyukino near the city of Zaraysk.

As an American, I can say I have much respect for the spirit, willpower, and strength of the Soviet Union. While we may not agree on ideology, I can definitely say the Soviets saved the world from Hitler and deserved their chance to become a world super power. I hope in the current situation, our political leaders can reflect on the past to keep history from repeating itself. Regardless of our beliefs or difference, violence is never the way to solve a problem. Kindness, understanding, and cooperation can go a long way to making the world a better place. To all my friends in Russia, I pray for you happiness, health, and prosperity. May you continue to fight for justice and truth despite the evil hands in power. Our world’s Russia deserves a leader who can push the nation forward, not backwards. Russia deserves so much better.

The more I read about post war Germany the more I feel they got away with it, few of the thousands of people that ran the concentration camps were bought to justice, and the Russians and Americans grabbed many war criminals and put them to work for them.

The Russians agreed with the Germans that in the event of war, the Germans would not go further than the Curzon line. And according to the results of WW1, the entire territory up to the Curzon line belonged to the Russian Empire, and Poland captured it at the time of the Russian civil war.

My Russian granddad, 2-nd Leutenant Marine Corps missed in action in Sebastopol. Another granddad, Jew, was in AAA in beseiged Leningrad, survived, finished war as Col.- Lt. at Lake Balaton, Hungary fighting with SS Panzerwaffe. So that were not only Russians in the Red Army. Russians, Belorussians, Ukrainians, Georgians...all Soviet Republics contributed in Victory. And I am still grateful to Brits, Americans and other Allies. We were brothers in arms then. How could it happen that we are enemies now? It's fu..ing bitter...((

Лучшими физическими параметрами для спецназовца считается рост 170-180 см плотного (коренастого) телосложения т.к при таких параметрах солдат наиболее вынослив и продуктивен! Спасибо Деду за Победу!

Но среди них были не только русские по национальности Всё национальности многонациональной России внесли свой вклад в Великую Победу. По законам того времени малочисленные народности, чтобы сохранить их генофонд, были освобождены от войны. Но даже среди этих народностей находились добровольцы, которые шли воевать с нашим общим врагом. Так что, русские этт были советские, а советские это были русские.

Co prawda kiedy przechodził front przez wieś moich przodków to musieli się ukryć w ziemiance w lesie przed żołnierzami Sowietów, ale przejście frontu trwało dwa dni a koszmar życia z z Niemcami pięć lat. Powojenna Polska? Gdyby nie Armia Sowiecka w 1945 nie byłoby żadnej Polski po 1945. Niemcy wymordowaliby nas do końca.
