Russian Time of Troubles - Смута (1604-1619) - Every Two Days

Ойын-сауық

Группа ВК: cherepashka_shusha
Time of Troubles (or Smuta) is one of the saddest periods in Russian history. 15 years of civil war, famine, disease, intervention and anarchy. As a result, casualties of Russia amounted to a third of the population. Economy was destroyed, villages were deserted.
Polish-Russian and Russo-Swedish (Ingrian) wars also are part of the Time of Troubles. Swedish army captured Novgorod and fortresses in the northwest of Russia. Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth took Smolensk and occupied Moscow in 1610-1612

In fact, the Russian expression "смутное время, смута" has a meaning «misty, hazy, dim, obscure, rebellion time», and «time of troubles» is the «время проблем» - very banal and everyday translation as a problem at work, or a problem with the car, and does not convey the scale of the "pizdets" of those dim years

Actually Crimea kept invading Russia for centuries. There always were some aggressive nomads in the South before them as well. Fun and little known fact: Polish government including the king and crown chancellor never supported any of the Dimitriads (those were supported mostly by private armies of Polish and Ruthenian magnates). Polish intervention came after Sigmunt III Vasa learned about the Swedish-Russian alliance. @Caner He shows countries that were ruled by Turks. The Yemen part you are talking about is shown as Turk only from 1229 - 1454 this is because during those years Yemen was ruled by the Rasulid dynasty who are said to have descended from Turks. If you have a problem with this then take it up with his channel rather than personally attacking them in other videos and insulting them. Criticism is done by actually going to the person and providing them with information. If they're wrong, show them why. No need for insults these mappers usually make videos based on the information they have. Even Ollie Bye has made mistakes in videos, we don't need to attack someone for a mistake they made though. Plus I don't see these mappers as a competition, they're just trying to put out some detailed information and sometimes things are wrong. This is why context is important. I see people who would rather attack than have a civil disagreement. Too many angry keyboard warriors on this website. But if you can do better then you can always do your own videos. These videos are more about education than some competition.
