@@user-zs5nr8dd1z Not the eastern front hes talking about, obviously. Around 80,000 tanks lost on that front in WW2, and less than 5,000 reported destroyed in the Russo-Ukraine war. His point, is everybody is acting like we havent seen this kind of loss before, yet in WW2 it was so much worse.

in Russia were only 1 300 k draft, and they still earn lots of money, most all soldiers in Russia sign contract and get very good salary, and families get enormous compensations, my uncle signed contract and went to war his salary on frontline were around 500 k rubles while in hist village only 20k, when he die cuz of wounds in hospital family get 15 million rubles compensation, and since he was around 43 years old and his wife around same, he made end of life for his wife very rich, yes she lost husband you say, but anyway

The aspect to this is that the crews left the hatches open when they bailed out. The reason those tanks are getting drone dropped is to prevent the Russians from recovering and repairing them. If the Russians were able to recover and repair damaged tanks - they would not have to be using 60-year-old T-62s as main battle tanks.

It's amazing to think before this war I thought Russia had the #2 military in the world. Now I see how they are a paper tiger.

@@MarkNOTW not so. I am keeping tabs on this war on the Kings and Generals page. They release an update about once or twice a month. The use visually confirmed losses from about half a month ago since it can be hard keep tabs on an ongoing war. Half a month behind can make sure that their numbers and battlefield positions are correct.

Newer tanks are coming out the shop with drone deterrent tech, already in use by President security details around the world. That's where money is being spent right now, counter drone solutions. So if you find a company that's doing that, invest in them.

Nope. The US is fitting APS (Active Protection System) to our tanks in Europe. These systems literally shoot down an incoming antitank missile or rocket. The reason they are not currently effective against drone is because the software is programmed to ignore anything moving below a predetermined speed. And all it takes to fix this is a software update. Something else people need to remember is that a weapon only becomes obsolete when another weapon appears that's better at performing that mission appears. In WW2 battleships were replaced by aircraft because aircraft were better at sinking ships than battleships were. It was not because battleships were vulnerable - aircraft carriers were far more vulnerable to aircraft attack than battleships were. Also remember that the US is conducting 'combat testing' of anti-drone systems at 'undisclosed locations' in the Middle East. The reason the testing is occurring there is because of all the Iranian drone attacks on US troops.
Crazy thing about the Bradley is it’s technically a armored personnel carrier with a bushmaster on top but it is definitely used as a infantry fighting vehicle and does a wonderful job at it

Those drones dropping granades into hatches videos are mainly already damaged tanks with the crew that Survived already gone. I guess when you run away you don't care about closing that hatch behind you.

Your tank is: Your weapon, your transportation, your protection, your dining room, your office, your bedroom, etc. It is also something that you spend an average of 8 hours a day on maintenance, inspections and calibrations. Tank crews take pride in their tank. And frequently treat it like it's a living being. It's also where you keep all of your stuff. You will do everything you can to recover your tank rather than run away. But Russian crews don't stay with their tank and don't even try to self-recover - even when not in combat.

Russias military industrial complex has increased production of everything by 3x plus. Not even NATO which has 30+ nations can produce the same amount of artillery shells as Russia. Russian tanks are. But that is due to poor design and even worse crew training. One of the videos shows a Russian turning around in order to run away. The didn't even rotate the turret over the back deck. The back of the tank has the thinnest armor. You always want to keep your thickest armor pointed towards the enemy. A western tank crew would not turn around. Instead, it would fire a salvo of smoke grenades and the TC opens his hatch and faces backwards. The tank then backs away from the threat while the TC gives steering instructions to the loader. Russian tanks can't do that due to the glacially slow reverse speed. And the Russian tank crews keep their hatches closed despite the fact that having the TC able to look around because his head id out of the hatch more than doubles the tank's chances of survival. BTW - look at the extremely low rate of Ukrainian casualties in Western tanks. This is the result of better tank design and better crew training.

True. That comes because Putin got insane from his paranoia. After ruling Russia so many years with violence, he fears all people around him would like to destroy him. And because Putin is the most upper boss of the Russian Mafia, he turned his country into a Mafia country. Only the highest Mafia people are very, very rich. Normal people struggle in their life, to pay rent and food. So he wanted to distract from the inner Russian, political problems, by starting a war. Putin thought, when he wins over Ukraine, the Russian people will celebrate him as a new Zar and all inner Russian problems would be forgotten. So now he got a big problem. He cannot win the war. But also he cannot retreat from the war. When he loses the war, he will also lose face in his country, and by this, probably also his life.

Those aren't 'bottle rockets' the drones are dropping mortar shells and the warheads for the RPG-7 antitank rocket.

A weapon only becomes obsolete when another weapon appears that can perform its mission better. This has not yet occurred for the tank. And in fact the antitank missile and drone both are at risk of losing their effectiveness with the advent of APS (Active Protection System). These systems literally shoot down incoming antitank missiles and rockets. All they need is a software change to be effective against drones. The US Army is fielding the 'Trophy' APS to our tanks and has selected the 'Iron Fist' to protect light armored vehicles. Both of these systems are 'combat proven' (the reason the US Army chose these over the system developed by a US defense contractor). In US Army testing - 'Trophy' shot down every one of over 50 different models of antitank missile and rockets. that were fired at the tank it was fitted to. One scenario was three antitank missiles that were fired within milliseconds of each other, and it still shot down all three. In fact, it is APS that caused the US Army to start replacing the Bradely with a new IFV. The Bradely simply no longer had the weight allowance, nor the electrical generating capacity needed for these systems. The M1 series tank has a similar problem - the tank is already overweight and maxed out on electrical power. The reason we had to replace our armored support vehicles was because after 40+ years of use - they were getting stress cracks in the armor (which is also the structural part of the vehicle.)

old war:tanks are the strongest weapon of war. today's war:it matters who has the more high tech way of destroying enemy targets.
Бушмастер на Бредли хорошо разбирает даже русский Т-90. Против урановых боеприпасов и высокой интенсивности огня трудно выстоять даже толстой броне.
