Thank you for this. In my country, many people seem to have forgotten this day. My father and every one of my uncles fought in WWII. Europe, the Pacific. No one suffered as much as the Russian people. All my uncles have died. My father spent time in a military hospital after the war. Psychological wounds. He was a tanker. Wounded at Anzio. Like most veterans. He did not talk about the war. Thank you, the Russian people for your part in defeating Nazism.

@@nsaurabh25 The Western allies did nothing until their ally Poland was invaded. Morally or ethically, say whatever you want, but tactically, I'm sure the Soviets knew they'd lose a lot more lives if they didn't force Poland's allies to get involved somehow.

Thanks for putting this online with English subtitles. I am military veteran. This celebration always makes me cry. I wish my country cared half as much about me, the way the the Russians seem to love their families. I am a woman sickened by my fatherland. Wishing Russia health, strength and family prosperity for generations. Good work to those who organize this things. They are always inspiring and make me wish I was Russian.

I am Korean and I am learning Russian. When I need help with my Russian language, I often used your video. As I am going through this, I've also learned some interesting Russian cultures. In Korea, there are "День победы" just like Russia. That is called "Korean War 1950." It was interesting to compare some special day in Korea and Russia, and your video was really helpful to know some new vocabulary, Russian cultures, and many other things. Thank you!

Today in my country, the United States of America, we are celebrating Mother’s Day. Had the Nazis not been defeated, we might not be celebrating Mother’s Day. We were not invaded. You were. We lost soldiers and sailors as did you, but we did not lose mother’s and children.

It’s 4 am when I got up. Конечно, I started my day with Boost My Russian. To my great horror, however, President Putin finished his speech without Kristina’s translation and explanation. 😫Это что? I thought to myself. Is she forcing me to be on my own? And why not? Let me get another cup of coffee and watch it again. Most of the President’s words, солдат, морей, Отет, I could actually understand. After all, in 1941, all those soldiers marched straight to the front on their own. Победа. Ура.
