I so hope this remains so but you have a presidential nominee who tried to overturn the result of the last election and says he understands Putin, Xi and Kim and they understand him. And this person is neck and neck in the polls. This is not reassuring for your allies of whom some of us have followed you into every war for decades.

Well in a empty field it's not like there's a lot of options, it looks like he had to choose beetwen what seems like roads or linear trenches, the busted but still kind of armored vehicle and the hole in the dirt, only crap places to die and he probably got an order to "hold" this area 😅

If you people ever served in combat you would not make fun it like this. Neither side wants to be out there and both sides have huge losses even if Ukraine lies like a Russian about it. There is not one professional soldier on that battlefield and it is a blood bath. So just report when the lines move.

The US Congress is both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House (specifically a cross section of the Republican party called MAGA after the isolationist group under the same name that was against the US entering WW2) inundated with Russian false narratives) said no Ukraine Aid without legislation on the border, breaking a long-standing policy to not cross the water line (i.e. not mix domestic and foreign policy). Senate made a bill written by both parties that included border security legislation that made even the Border Patrol unions happy as well as members of both parties. The house refused it after Johnson made a visit to candidateTrump in Mara Lago, FL and began to have House members take vacation two weeks out of every month as well as Fridays and Mondays off. In the process of work to pass defense budget aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, multiple changes were made in demands from a certain number of House Republicans. Due to the long delay in the bill being passed through both houses and signed, David Cameron, UK Foreign Minister said at the G7 meeting that he would disk with House leader Johnson. Johnson refused to meet with him, so Cameron adjusted his plans, knowing like most at that G7 meeting did where directions were coming from, and he made his first stop in his trip to the US to speak to candidate Trump at Mara Lago, directly after which Johnson was summoned again by Trump, after which Johnson made a dramatic change and stopped blocking defense spending legislation for foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Given the circumstances and other instances it appears candidate Trump violated the Logan Act, and this was confirmed by Mitch McConnell. After many hours of rambling, grumbling, drama, and in one case a lawmaker known for supporting Putin reading a Dr. Seuss children's poem, the bill was overwhelmingly passed through both houses and signed by the President. Among Russian narratives crafted for Americans to prevent passing of this aid was an argument that it's a burden for the national budget, ignoring the small single digit percentage of the national budget this costs, from the defense budget itself, not the domestic budget as another Russian narrative directed uneducated Americans to believe. These narratives also include demurs for the less educated to obfuscate the reality that a Russian advance would draw US military itself into the conflict which is far more expensive, most Americans being completely unaware of the hundreds of billions the US spent in WW2, much which included equipping and arming the lousy Russian military and making massive food drops to keep Russian citizens from starving. Their showing their thanks even now by threatening to blow up the world, interfering in other countries governments, attacking their neighbors, and still refusing to acknowledge their crimes in WW2 or return the art and other treasures they looted from Europe, and a general re-Stalinization with a goal of war on "the West."
