    Captions are available in the settings. Let me know in the comments what you think about Ruslana's story, if you remember her Nina Ricci ad campaign, who your favourite models are and if you've ever dreamt of becoming a model yourself (or maybe you've had experience with that world)!

    Yes and they don't make enough money to live in the expensive cities. Even the modeling apartments charge a ton of rent just to give them a bed. That's just another way they make money out of these young girls. They start having to go to parties that sort of hire models to be there, that swiftly runs into "go sit with this rich guy that gives you tips" right into escorting. Plus it seems especially eastern europeans and russian girls are raised to think marrying rich is a good option if you are pretty , but these guys are not going to marry you. And she would be ashamed of telling her mother what she'd been doing. Shame leads to selfloathing.

  • @Iflie

    @Iflie

    @@Em-wk5ns Yeah and they string them along by saying it's for their portfolio but in the meantime they only hire them because they are free. I think unless a modeling agency snaps you up and pays for pictures for you and sends you out for high level castings...modeling is not going to be your career. Even the ones who do get that and walk catwalks in a fashion week can still not make money enough to really live. So really it's not a dream girls or boys for that matter should have. Maybe doing it as a hobby is fun but you probably get into contact with creeps.

    Being beautiful’s main curse is feeling like you’ll never be loved, because being beautiful is something that men seem to be blinded by, and end up treating you more like an accessory rather than a human with a heart. I still think she was killed, but her depression for feeling like she’ll never find love will forever resonate with me. She deserved to be treated better her angelic energy radiates through her pictures. r.i.p to this beautiful fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️

    Many of these girls work secretly as high end escorts, but the men they meet fall in love and want to have them. Any model that would speak out publicly might be murdered or attacked like Karen Mulden was. Models learn to keep their mouth shut on these things or they lose their position. I’ve always wondered if the Neon Demon was about her though, where the model is being pushed into death by other models who practise witchcraft in the end.

    I was in college at that time, at Pace Uni a few blocks away staying in the dorms on fulton. I was walking down the street and watched her body hit the ground from about a block away. Yil... your voice and presentation are nothing less than AMAZING. Your gentleness is what this story needed. This innocent child would still be here had she decided on university instead of modeling. She wasn't even 21...my god. It's a horrible tragedy whether suicide or murder... she's not here anymore. She just wanted to be LOVED. She didn't understand that those wealthy men had no intention of marrying her. A broken 💔 heart at that age is very traumatizing. Yes, her face and body were flawlessly beautiful, but her HEART ♥ and SOUL were so much more beautiful. Her poor mother... I don't know how she managed. The fashion world ONLY CARES ABOUT "MONEY 💵!!" I wish I could rewing time and tell her, "NO Ruslana... go home to your mother and brother; then go to university in Germany. You don't have to search for love...it will find you." And the other model, as well. That "Rose Cult" made her situation worse. AND who knows what happened on epstein's island?!

    I was supposed to be a child model. I was sexually assaulted twice as a child & all through my adult life. I rejected being a model. The industry is corrupt. Young women are used & abused. This woman’s tragedy of being used up for being soft, kind, beautiful & caring really is heartbreaking. The industry silences sexual abuse. I became disgusted that I even had a body. I took to self harming because it got out the pain that was inconsolable. I was tired of being sexualised all the time. Some things are hard to recover from. I think her story really resonates with other girls that have been abused.🖤😢

    You have beauty, wealth and intelligence - what is left? I apologize, but I believe that stating that women like her do not kill themselves is the most idiotic and narcissistic affirmation people can make. You are grown to be convinced that nothing matters, have an imenssive belief that your father's absence is yours to blame and is used by different men for your looks. There is a whole void there. Of course we can give credit to everything that there is to discuss (the whole involvement of JE and cult reliance). But I just regard we can give credit to the idea that she inalived herself and maintain a little respect for this matter.
