I am 85 years old American and I learned to love Russian people during WW2. I know Russian suffered greatly in WW2 and admire them for their sacrifices and bravery . Russians are brave, smart, artistic, cultured, moral, decent, and value family and country. We are NOT enemies! And, those that have tried to make us hate each other are very mistaken.

What about saving Poland from Germany by USSR did you heared about it? Red army as reward for it, were raping polish women, stealing (especialy hand clocks), and of course kiiling people which were resisting. That was just bandits, so we are disassemblesing the red army's monuments. It's lie about good red army during WW2, it's villainy to kill civilians at War.

Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic, which was the largest republic in the USSR, and that for all intents and purposes ruled the other Republics, so technically Russia and Soviet Union are the same.

The Soviet Army marched in Red Square in 1941 and then moved to fight the enemy at the gates of Moscow just 20 miles away. When I visited Moscow i could feel the tension of that day and salute the courage of Russian Soldiers . No country has given so much sacrifices as Soviet Union, this march is a sight to behold.

@@cheburatour In France, the 14 july isn't a might demonstration, nor a show of strenght contrary to Russia. We don't need it. It's more like popular day of rejoice. But yeah i hate the jazzy part of our "défilé" (it doesn't exist before the election of Macron). PS: there is no french tactical nuke in the parade since France doesn't possess the nuclear land-launch missile. on the other hand, we have the two other elements of the "nuclear triad" like we call it in France: nuclear missiles launched from the Rafales (fighters) or from our "Sous-marins nucléaires lanceurs d'engins" (submarines). Moreover, not many French people wish to see nuclear missiles parade during July 14 because we find it rude, vulgar and it reminds us too much of the Soviet period. we do not have to brag in a grotesque way permanently our army to love our good old "Armée Française".

I wish the world was united under the french banner. That everybody in this world was french lol but that not the case (at least for now...). And yep, France has (had) some influence over many countries in the past (Francafrique...) but not a lot left... It's just called diplomacy and sphere of influence. Like Russia is actualy doing with many countries of the former soviet Union... (The very same way Russia start doing some very good shits in Ukraine just after Ukraine wanted to cut the influence of the Kremlin over the internal affairs of Ukraine... France is no better, nor worse than Russia...

@Antoine Shelby actually if u watch interviews by former Soviet citizens they all say that they lived better under the Soviet union and all said that even though the market did not have a great variety they got what they needed and there was no shortage of jobs and everyone lived in harmony

La Russie n'a plus d'industrie et de science.La Russie est presque complètement détruite. En dehors de Moscou, sur le Gorki du léniniste, les bourgeois enlèvent une école aux gens. L'école est située dans un très bon endroit, ils veulent y construire une propriété et la vendre de manière rentable. Merci pour ces mots chaleureux!

As a retired US Marine who spent 20+ years in the Corps studying how to fight the USSR, I can honestly and truthfully say I NEVER considered the PEOPLE of the USSR [or the Russian federation today] to be my enemies. People are never the enemy--governments and national interests are the enemies of peace. I have read and studied many books and documents about WW II or 'The Great Patriotic War' as it is known in the former Soviet Union. I understand, respect, and admire the people of the USSR who sacrificed so much and so many in their struggle for national survival. The Red Army deserves much respect and appreciation for what it did in WW II. I often wonder what would happen today in the USA if we were suddenly faced with the same struggle as faced by the USSR in WW II? I suspect the American people have grown soft and would not fare nearly as well. In fact, I greatly fear the future for my grandchildren. I can only hope and pray my fears do not come to pass. I cannot help myself because I will close by saying I could not help but notice Russian women are some of the best beautiful women in the world!! :)
