Just a tip: good orators never really have a full script in front of them. They will usually just have talking points or hints written down, just to remind them of important things they want to talk about in their speech and so that they can be sure not to miss anything. During the 2010 western free and fair Ukraine election were 5 presidential candidates including Yanukovich who is Ethnic Russian. Among the others he did win the following regions with big margin because of in these regions the majority are Russians and they wanted and still are be part of the Russia federation. These 11 regions are: Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zakarpatska, Zaponihzhia, Luhansk, Mykolive, Odesa, Kharkov, Kherson and Sevastpool region. Russia will not stop until it gets all these back to the Russian federation if not more including Kiev.

It's not prononced "kersk" it's pronounced "kursk" Also when you see an "h" in the latinized version of eastern slav language, it's pronounced as a hard "g". For example, the town of билогоривка is pronounced "Bilogorivka" and not "Bilokhorivka"

This is what I thought might happen. Those fronts aren't manned strongly by Ukraine, and to stop even a modest offensive will need troops they don't have. Weakening the main line will allow other fronts to advance as well.

@@cyronader True. Except that they somehow can manage to make some progress on the front without those. Ukraine seems to endlessly be begging for more money and more magic gamechanger equipment or else...

Russia will likely be able to advance much more quickly once they get past the mass of the Ukrainian fortifications. Ukraine will likely continue to build more as the frontline evolves, however, with decreased manpower and resources, Ukraine will struggle greatly to repel the Russians. I believe then it will turn into a landslide.

Russia put out statements saying they made movement but did not make any gains. Ukraine saw this coming months ago if you recall its attacks in the belograd region.

Piling up the military manpower and hardware of a small nation for a bluff is far, far less useful than just putting them on the front line if you don’t actually plan to invade the area you’re concentrating them on. Though that certainly applies differently in times of peace
