The State Anthem of the Russian Federation/Государственный гимн Российской Федерации
is the name of the official national anthem of Russia. Its musical composition and lyrics were adopted from the State Anthem of the Soviet Union, composed by Alexander Alexandrov, and lyricists Sergey Mikhalkov and Gabriel El-Registan.[3] The Soviet anthem was used from 1944, replacing "The Internationale" with a more Sovietcentric and Russiacentric song. The anthem had no lyrics after 1956, due to the original lyrics having references to former leader Joseph Stalin. New lyrics were introduced in 1977 by Mikhalkov with lyrics placing less emphasis on World War II and more on the victory of communism.

The russian federation just readopted the soviet anthem and changed lyrics, since they knew they weren't communists anymore (damn that one hit me way too hard and im depressed now) and their former anthem doesn't sound that good and people doesn't get how to sing it because they were used to the soviet anthem, so yeah

@@blinthepannkek6173 They did that because Russia did technically convert from an Empire to a Federation during the Russian Revolution, which is, without communist ideologies, their style of government today.
I'm not a RUSSIAN and I Don't know RUSSIAN language at all but the ANTHEM gives me goosebumps and tears to my eyes. May be that's why they say Music is an International Language. Whatever it is. Love , Well wish, and Respect from me and my family from INDIA 🇮🇳.

@Gustave Chillaud, he decided to amend the constitution to nullify his term in office. LGBTQ + persons will face a restriction of rights. Now homophobia will be fixed at the legislative level. now even the word “god” will be included in the constitution, although Russia is secular statehood, religion should be separated from the government, especially considering how multinational our country is, how many different religions people profess ... voting is just a formality, the results are falsified, and as always a herd post-Soviet people who believe in nonsense shown on television will go to vote for, although they do not even know what this will lead to. they did not have long to live in this country, and we, young people, were born under Putin and will die under Putin.
