10.000 dollars might get you a nice hat or a used car, not a missile. A stinger is 4 times that price. Btw. Most drones used by ukraine are so small (inexpensive - short distance surveillance) that radar-system can't pick them up. And renders these missile systems useless.

Pantsir-SM uses an anti-aircraft gun. Very effective and cheap gun. Do not forget that Russia has more reconnaissance drones. There are not enough shocks yet, it's true

Its a WB Fly Eye UAV. Poland recently payed 2.67 million USD for 3 sets which includes 4 aircraft per set. If you extrapolate that you will get around $220,000 per drone. The contract obviously included hours from an instructor and controls but that is already more expensive than each of the 9M330 missiles used to fire taking into account the economies of scale in production.

Interestingly, there's film of a suicide drone being used to start a fire at an oil refinery at Novoshakhtinsk. That drone had to chug its way across a whole lot of Russian-occupied and then Russian territory. It seems the Russians can only shoot down drones when its in the script.

that drone in oil refinery (few of them were used) is only 100 bucks, few adjustments to add explosive and it's ready to fly for hours. If ruzzians will waste anti air missiles on such drones - by all means - that would be nice trade off for few bucks spent. but in reality they can't even deal with such slow low flying drone from Ali Express :)

In fact, Ukraine destroyed many of those Tor-M2 using drones) the last known case - Ukrainian forces sunk russian support vessel "Vasily Bekh", which has functioning "Tor M2" on board attached to a ship as an air defense. Two "Harpoon" missile strike was corrected and filmed by Ukrainian drone, you can easily find this footage.

At a strategic level managing resources effectively is critical in warfare of this sort (especially if you like Russia is not the wealthiest country in the world). That being said the above equation is probably a bit simplistic, if this drone were to spot strategically important targets and use that information to call in arty strikes, then the destruction coursed by the drone could be far worse than the price of shooting a rocket. But I think the logical conclusion derived from the argument is still accurate: if Ukraine is able to keep fighting and the west keeps supplying them (which everyone in the world except the Russian propagandists obviously roots for), then Russia could very well be defeated in this conflict ( I refrain from saying Ukraine will win because in a war like this everyone loses the sheer amount of destruction will be hard to recover from).

I love how they know the exact times these drones fly over that they are able to film the entire process clip by clip. This Video they actually showed something happen in the end. You dont have time to fight in a war and also make a 2 minute long video of 1 missile. Ukraine soldiers Video's they are on the combat lines hammering these dude's, shows on drones real footage. Russia , get somethings through your head.

Technically it will be very difficult to detect small drones even with radars like Russia has. What they showed was their demonstration (not actual combat scenarios). Radar can only work well for environment above ground (line of sight)
