There is something sincere, peaceful, modest, and beautiful about how this gentleman speaks. I could listen to him talk for hours! His manner of speaking is....disarming, and one thing that is communicated, but unspoken, is trust. Dan is instantly trustworthy and very likable. He isn't trying to be something that he's not. You taught us how much it costs to build a home in Russia. Now you are teaching us about the very real and difficult political and social changes there. You are a real journalist! I am a 10th great granddaughter of William Bradford. He came to America on the Mayflower in 1620. His journal is the number one best account of Pilgrims in America, and it is still read over 400 years later. I belive in 400 years from now, people are going to say, "Dan Sheekoz was my 10th great grandfather. He is responsible for recording most of what really was happening in Russia during the 2020s."💖

Thank you for the tour of Russia which is rarely seen. Enjoyed the exploration of the industrial section, marveled at the hot water pipes for heating. Furniture was the word you were looking for - they make wooden beds, tables, and chairs. I realized your Russian word for manufacturing must be fabrication. Need to learn how to say that in Russian. You're such a wonderful communicator; I feel I have a Russian family. Thank you so much, Dan🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for showing "normal" things in Russia. I was lucky to visit USSR in 1990 as a chaperone for a girls choir on a cultural exchange and have been fascinated with your country since. Although it was interesting to visit the Kremlin and see Lenin, my greatest interest has always been the "normal" things of life since I am just an average middle class American. Seeing commercial stores and industrial factories holds most of my interest . Best of all are the people I have met traveling and those have visited my home. I have been watching KZread videos of Russia (and China) since they were first available. Thank you again .

Your Beautiful Sweet Little Baby Girl is very Lucky to be born to Your Wife and You. You are very wise to realize there is no perfect country on earth. We live in U.S., Southern Calif. and the weather is usually great, but recently, too much rain has caused some homes to slide down hills on saturated hillsides. Please feel proud that you have gratitude (as we do, also) and please know that it does not matter whatever is going on with our 'leaders' we Love You for being Good People. Leaders(most) seem to want people in 'conflict' with each other because it distracts us from being aware of what they're doing/ hiding (scheming) behind their 'closed-doors'. It isn’t boring for us who have never been there…or never will. Your commentary makes it even more interesting. I love seeing the non-tourist areas of places . I’m in Southern Alberta and we are having more bright days than grey. Our sky can be a brilliant blue when it isn’t snowing or just a grey day. I understand the greyness you’re referring to, your government uses/used a lot of concrete for building things and forgot to use or offer bright paint colours. We saw Russian construction in Cuba & is in stark contrast to what the Cubans built/build without the Russian influence. This wad pointed out by our young Cuban tour guide. Concrete isn’t a warm construction product, we have buildings of concrete here and it is becoming more common to vary the concrete’s texture to make it less harsh. Love the green animals! It brings a bright spot to the area.
