Russia Signs Nuclear Deal With Mali, Advances Footprint in West Africa | Firstpost Africa

Russia Signs Nuclear Deal With Mali, Advances Footprint in West Africa | Firstpost Africa
Mali's ruling military junta and Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom signed three cooperation deals. The two sides discussed projects including a Russian-designed low-power nuclear power plant, Rosatom said on Wednesday. Rosatom did not give details about the proposed low-power nuclear power plant that could be built in Mali. Rosatom has been seeking to drum up business by signing cooperation agreements with countries across the continent. It is already building a nuclear power plant in Egypt, while it has signed nuclear cooperation deals with Burkina Faso and Algeria. Russia has strengthened ties with juntas in West Africa's Sahel region that have turned away from traditional Western allies.

The African population will coup their leaders or force their leaders to start working with Russia. These are great times for Africa. It's absolutely having versatility and choices. I think Russia will come through because everyone is watching and hoping for their failure and they know this. The West will always speak bad about Russia. The only opinions that counts is how the African population will feel about Russia.

Lunumba said in one of his wonderful Pan African Speeches said-- thus -- "For America and The Western Countries to RESPECT Africa and African Countries, we as African Leaders , must try to develop Nuclear Power, then ańd only then can America and The West can RESPECT Africa as a sovereign Continent as they Respect North Korea, because they -- America and The West Respects The North Korea because they have NUCLEAR POWER. Of course this will NOT be the aim of African Countries with Nuclear Power, instead their soul aim is to create or to develop Electricity for their People and for Industrial porpuses. But in case those countries who wants to threaten African Countries because they dont have NUCLEAR POWER, then those countries can think twice because African Countries have NUCLEAR POWER. Thanks.

Mme Lestrange! Mme Lederange, could you please be respectful by stopping to call AES leaders Junta? If you desire to continue to call them junta, then you have to rename your platform from FirstPost to LastPost or DoomedPost.😂

Pls call those Leaders, Presidents for respect to those nations. We're done with western system, we need to re design typically an African system.

Russia signed a deal to build nuclear power stations in Nigeria. The implications of the end of selling Uranium below the market rates to France for 80 cents a kg is not even mentioned as well.

Action and corresponding reactions. These three countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger want to be free from the French government wanton exploitation of their resources without giving little to nothing in return. The situation should not be portrayed otherwise. What’s the benefit of so called DEMOCRACY? if a better solution could be through benevolent leadership and popular movement.

The Western nations have never been allied to African nations. The relationship has always been exploitative for the benefits of the Western nations and people.
