Russia’s Tactical Constraints On Its Tanks Amid Losses In Ukraine Making Them Less Effective?

Russian tanks have faced heavy losses in Ukraine, with countless images of burnt-out wrecks making headlines around the world. In the latest, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the first Russian modernized T-62MV Main Battle Tank near Marinka, Donetsk Oblast. Some reports say that Ukrainian drones also destroyed Russia’s most modern Russian T-90M main battle tank. The staggering loss has reportedly made Russians more cautious with what was once seen as an overpowering force against Ukraine. Watch the video to find out are Russia's new tactics making tanks less effective?

    ИЗРАИЛЬСКАЯ РАЗВЕДКА ОЦЕНИЛА ПОТЕРИ УКРАИНЫ И РОССИИ В ХОДЕ КОНФЛИКТА: 10 К 1 Данные о потерях опубликовало турецкое издание со ссылкой на Моссад. Турецкое издание Hurseda haber со ссылкой на некие источники в израильской разведке Моссад опубликовало данные о потерях Украины и России в ходе конфликта. Потери Украины Итак, по данным неназванного источника за 14 января, потери Украины при общей численности вооруженных сил, задействованных в конфликте, в 734 тысячи солдат и офицеров, плюс 100 тысяч резервистов, оценивались следующим образом: 302 самолета, 212 вертолетов, 2750 БПЛА, 6320 танков и другой бронетехники, 7360 артсистем, 497 ЗРК. Напомним, 14 января Министерство обороны России давало такие данные по уничтоженной технике ВСУ: 372 самолета, 200 вертолетов, 2880 беспилотных летательных аппаратов, 400 зенитных ракетных комплексов, 7511 танков и других боевых бронированных машин, 982 боевые машины реактивных систем залпового огня, 3828 орудий полевой артиллерии и минометов, а также 8040 единиц специальной военной автомобильной техники. С учетом возможной разницы в классификации, а также, с учетом поправки на боевые условия, данные Минобороны России довольно точно соответствуют данным израильской разведки. Теперь человеческие потери. С начала конфликта Моссад насчитал у Украины 157 тысяч убитых, 234 тысячи раненых, 17230 человек - в плену. Кроме того, к потерям Украины отнесены 234 военных инструктора НАТО, 2456 погибших солдат НАТО и 5360 наемников. Более чем три полноценных полка иностранцев. Потери России Моссад, если верить турецкому источнику, оценивал наши потери в середине января так... В конфликте были задействованы 418 тысяч солдат и ЧВК "Вагнер", численность которой источник не указал. Потери на середину января с начала конфликта составили: 23 самолета, 56 вертолетов, 200 БПЛА, 889 танков и бронемашин, 427 артсистемы, 12 ЗРК, 18 480 погибших, 44 500 раненых, 323 - в плену. Достоверность этих данных никем не подтверждена, - еще раз уточняем. Потери 10 к 1 Однако, тенденция очевидна. Даже с учетом лояльного отношения Израиля к «партнерам» на Украине, этот источник оценивает потери украинской стороны примерно 10 к 1 по отношению к потерям России, несмотря на активнейшую поддержку со стороны НАТО. При таком раскладе поражение ВСУ неизбежно.

    @lukasausen

    its fair assesement that ukraine tanks are easy ducks, if you see ukraine tank tactics troughout the whole war has been really close to what russia is trying to do right now, theres a lot of imagery of ukraine using tanks, and they have always one thing in common, the tanks are majorly used as artilery pieces, going a full tank assault where they bombard the enemy, then infantry advance takes the enemy who is hiding from previous bombardment, and then the tanks MAY advance, most of soviet tanks are also made for tank to tank engagement, and russia doctrine is clearly bad, if you see historically russians have trained egyptian and syrian, pilots, and tank crews, and they always had ENOURMOUS death rates and it was all pushed as bad management and maintanance of training by egypt and syria part, but now its quite clear that russian tactics are too bad for modern scenarios, they have a lot of good equipment and systems, but at the end of the day the way you take it all togheter and train your troops is the most important aspect. NATO tactics have been proved time and time again to be miles ahead of russian/soviet tactics, just see how israel with a minor army and population could beat so many "great" armies around it, same way ukraine is doing right now. NATO migh have so many defects but its undeniable that they exploit so much battle tactics and are the pioneers on it right now, desert storm, yumkipur war and now ukraine war are the biggest examples of NATO battle tactitcs superiority over soviet/russian battle tactics. today russia is losing, while not even fighting proper NATO tank batalions, modern abrahams and leopard tanks, apache helicopters, harpoon missiles, naval squadrons, aircraft carriers, F-22, F-35 fighters, logistical airplanes, submarines, imagine if they came close to needing to fight those things, and ukraine is recieving 20 year old versions of abrahams in super low quantities, old aircraft models in the F16 (wich are months away still), and super low quantities of specialised weaponry like recently storm shadows, and HIMARS systems, so US is showing they can easily win a war without not only using small amount top quality equipment, but sending mostly outdated equipments and small arms like the javelin and ATGM and shells. the only reason russia is not recieving iraq treatment right now is because the have nukes.

    Asymmetric warfare does not appear to favor the tank. This drone thing is just starting. Javelins and other similar weapons are becoming more wide spread. Tanks are generally hardened to fight other tanks, not an army of flying robots. The tank in general may be done unless they're able to connect it with a capability like the Phalanx CIWS. The next generation of tanks will need such capabilities to survive in modern war zones. While the Phalanx is currently a massive system, we can likely expect smaller versions to appear soon. Tanks might even get dedicated to this task.

    yah they are changing their tactics since they are running out of tanks, like the Ukrs are destroyhing and capturing more tanks than the Russian can produce. heck the Russians supposdly had 13K tanks in storage T-55s to T-90s but due to corruption poor storage spare parts cannibalizaton, 75 to 90 percent of them do not work and need major repair and refurbishment. also their tactics suck, harkens back to the cold war ww2 days where their solution to defeating the enemy was just to drown the enemy with tanks, well these days with a lot of ATGMs aroudn, Soviet style massed tank attack are just suicide which is what happened in 2022. Yep in one year alone in 2022 the Russians lost like 2500 tanks. The worst tank loss was at Izyum in late 2022, where the Ukrainians captured 450 Russians tanks all abandoned since the town was being used as a tank repair depot , the Russians defending Izyum ran away back to Russia in the face of a Ukrainian offensive. I daresay that about 50 percent of Ukrs current tank inventory are all captured Russian tanks all abandoned. Heck the Russians even abandoned a few T-90s for the Ukrs to capture , one was even seen shipped to the USA . Russia is the biggest tank donor to Ukraine. via abandonment.

    Most Russian tanks are being destroyed by mines, artillery fire and drones. Only attacking at certain times cuts down on the element of surprise. Many ATGM's do not use thermal imaging seekers for guidence. Systems like Stugna, TOW and others are going to be uneffected by measures used to decoy Javelin. These counter-measures cannot change Russia's inability to carry out combined arms warfare with any skill.

    You obviously won't learn the truth here, in short----President Zelensky's office scolded Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko for publishing footage of a downed Patriot air defense missile. "What other words, after 15 months of full-scale war, do you have to explain to every UVA employee, mayors and bloggers on Instagram that you cannot post air defense work, pictures of missile strike sites, a list of attack targets , etc.," said Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser in the office of the President of Ukraine. The Russian army struck a powerful blow at aviation and warehouses with Storm Shadow missiles - the shooter turned out to be the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov. Recently, Reznikov published a postcard of a Su-24 front-line bomber with a British Storm Shadow, thereby revealing the carrier of these cruise missiles.The postcard also features the emblem of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Air Force of Ukraine, based in the city of Starokonstantinov, Khmelnytskyi Region. As a result, a powerful strike was made on the airbase that night. According to official data, five planes were damaged. Fuel and ammunition depots are still burning there. A series of powerful explosions rocked Kiev, with authorities and eyewitnesses releasing footage confirming the arrivals.Similar reports also come from the Podolsk region. Local sources reported that one of the strikes was directed at the Patriot air defense system in the area of Zhuliani airport

    ИЗРАИЛЬСКАЯ РАЗВЕДКА ОЦЕНИЛА ПОТЕРИ УКРАИНЫ И РОССИИ В ХОДЕ КОНФЛИКТА: 10 К 1 Данные о потерях опубликовало турецкое издание со ссылкой на Моссад. Турецкое издание Hurseda haber со ссылкой на некие источники в израильской разведке Моссад опубликовало данные о потерях Украины и России в ходе конфликта. Потери Украины Итак, по данным неназванного источника за 14 января, потери Украины при общей численности вооруженных сил, задействованных в конфликте, в 734 тысячи солдат и офицеров, плюс 100 тысяч резервистов, оценивались следующим образом: 302 самолета, 212 вертолетов, 2750 БПЛА, 6320 танков и другой бронетехники, 7360 артсистем, 497 ЗРК. Напомним, 14 января Министерство обороны России давало такие данные по уничтоженной технике ВСУ: 372 самолета, 200 вертолетов, 2880 беспилотных летательных аппаратов, 400 зенитных ракетных комплексов, 7511 танков и других боевых бронированных машин, 982 боевые машины реактивных систем залпового огня, 3828 орудий полевой артиллерии и минометов, а также 8040 единиц специальной военной автомобильной техники. С учетом возможной разницы в классификации, а также, с учетом поправки на боевые условия, данные Минобороны России довольно точно соответствуют данным израильской разведки. Теперь человеческие потери. С начала конфликта Моссад насчитал у Украины 157 тысяч убитых, 234 тысячи раненых, 17230 человек - в плену. Кроме того, к потерям Украины отнесены 234 военных инструктора НАТО, 2456 погибших солдат НАТО и 5360 наемников. Более чем три полноценных полка иностранцев. Потери России Моссад, если верить турецкому источнику, оценивал наши потери в середине января так... В конфликте были задействованы 418 тысяч солдат и ЧВК "Вагнер", численность которой источник не указал. Потери на середину января с начала конфликта составили: 23 самолета, 56 вертолетов, 200 БПЛА, 889 танков и бронемашин, 427 артсистемы, 12 ЗРК, 18 480 погибших, 44 500 раненых, 323 - в плену. Достоверность этих данных никем не подтверждена, - еще раз уточняем. Потери 10 к 1 Однако, тенденция очевидна. Даже с учетом лояльного отношения Израиля к «партнерам» на Украине, этот источник оценивает потери украинской стороны примерно 10 к 1 по отношению к потерям России, несмотря на активнейшую поддержку со стороны НАТО. При таком раскладе поражение ВСУ неизбежно.

    @@chirpywiggins5796 Mommy said it's "bed time" Chirpy! Seems YOU are IGNORANT on the use of Nukes! At the present time there is an UNKNOWN number of NATO "boomer" submarines around Russia, every since their Dictator Vlad Putin started THREATENING the USA, Britain and even Alaska with Nuclear War these submarines have been "on station"! Each "boomer" submarine has 64 independently targeted Nuclear weapons, from launch to detonation ANYWHERE in Russia in LESS than 15 minutes! Other than wanting to commit suicide, do YOU THINK that the Mongol Dictator Vlad Putin will order a Nuclear launch against any country, knowing that it will be the END of any country named Russia for at least 50,000 years?

    The Russian should do what China do. All new Chinese tanks are fitted with active protection systems against top attack ATGMs like the Javelin besides having fitted w UAVs w thermal imaging capabilities that will allow the tanks to spot infantry hiding in bushes and buildings 20-30km away.

    If you BELIEVE that about Chinese tanks, I have some property in the South China Sea to sell you! I have lived in China, saw the PLA in training, and KNOW the History of the PLA...a huge fighting force which has NOT WON a War against an ARMED adversary in over 74 Years! They LOST in Korea, they LOST in Vietnam, they LOST against India, they LOST in Cambodia and have only WON in Tibet using bombers against Buddhist Monks armed with muzzle loading rifles and in China, where they murdered over 40,000,000 UNARMED Chinese citizens for the CRIME of NOT wanting to live under Chinese Communism!
