Those are bodies counted after the battlefield is secured and the dead were counted. Those that were vaporized and missing were not counted. Those that surrendered (injured and voluntarily surrendered on Russian custody), AWOL, and injured cared by Ukraine were not counted. The grand total Ukraine casualties might be over a million.

@TimVoktwo, in any case, the Russian losses are even bigger than the Ukrainian losses. if also the small wounds are counted, then both sides have currently lost together two million soldiers as dead and wounded. From that amout the Russian share is 56% and the Ukrainian one 44%. But probably half of those two million were wounded so slightly that they will sooner or later return to the front. If only KIAs are counted, then the Ukrainian losses are 282000 and the Russian ones 395000. I have added to the beginning of this page those nine reasons, which in my opinion have caused the Russian army to lose more soldiers than the Ukrainian army. Glory to Ukraine ! Yes he does his body language changed noticeable in January that to me was a strong indicator that he knew the conflict on all levels was lost! He continues to show that body language since January. Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time. Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO. NATO is not a defensive alliance. Nato illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) RIP. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

A question has been bothering me for quite some time. Once the war has ended and Ukraine has been defeated(I'm guessing) what happens to Mr Zelensky and his war cabinet??? Do they go to prison or get executed or do they run to another favoring country??? Half a million troops is a lot of Human Life to lose.😢😢😢😢😢

No guessing needed Ukraine is running out of men and equipment they are short on ammo their recruits are not motivated to fight nor receive anything close to adequate training As time goes on they get weaker and weaker. The opposite is happening within Russia, so as time goes on they get stronger and stronger As for Zel, he has already been granted safe haven within the US, after all Zel did their bidding

31,000 plus Zelenski stated. Around 569,000 short. Another 80k with missing limbs. Many more unaccounted for. Bum hole Boris has death on his hands convincing Zelensky not to reach peace deal with Putin.

Because the war is in Ukraine and population of Ukraine was 2021 43,531,422. Loss of 0.5 million leaves 43,031,422 ukrainians still in the fighting. Its not that easy to remove 43million people from a country, even in your country. 😄😄

Denazification and demilitarization have been the two objectives, I think they will both be met this year

They never claimed that number before. it went from 320k, 440k, 530k and now 600k. it's just gonna keep getting higher.

Russia's goal was to destroy Ukraine's soldiers. Russia called it "denazification". Russia will not allow ukr from entering OTAN, that is the red line Russia has drawn. UKR must remain neutral on Russia's border. Russia has re engineered most all on NATO's weapons and has found their weaknesses to better destroy them.

Let's compare the following statements: 1) Russia has killed half a million Ukrainian SOLDIERS since February 2022. What does this mean? This means that Russia killed Ukrainian men who were armed by the U.S. government and NATO to kill Russians. 2) Israel has killed more than 29,000 civilians. What does this mean? This means that Israel killed UNARMED individuals. The vast majority of them were women and children. While war is hell, there is a big difference between killing men who are armed and come to kill, and killing unarmed individuals.

Between 40,000 to 60,000 kia and Mia (including the Russian military, the Donbas militia and Wagner fighters) see Mediazona-- Ukrainian dead is between 500,000 up 600,000.. Horrific losses on both sides, however to expected in a high intensity artillery war (Stalin-- Artillery is the god of war)..

This is an artillery war (Russia out gun Ukraine 8 to 1:, even with the west supporting Ukraine), Russia has the strongest land army in the world with the best air defense in the world.
