To me the mountain looks like a big baking soda vulcano from a science fair. The vocals and the song are still horrendous so this should really not go to the final

This is OT (apologies) but nobody has engaged where I've posted about it - does anyone else find the Czechoslovakian song misogynistic? Don't get me wrong, the singer is talented singer and dancer and in interviews seems totally sweet....but I've been floored to not see more mention of this online....am I just a prude? LOL!

"Ukraine" factor is not as important this year, but taking into account that people are again talking about her last year attempt to participate, it can still be used to make Ukraine look bad, I guess. The rest still stands as well. They promised her they would send her next year, so now they can boast about being so tolerant, supportive of disabled people and most important - keeping their word. Because other than that I can't comprehend Russia's decisions at all.

I know her condition creates respiratory problems, but then it's her and team's task to arrange the song based on that knowledge so that she can sing it comfortably despite her impairment. Don't bite off more than you can chew, as always.

That's simply not true! Russia is a great country, and we have very nice and talented people there, including artists and singers. Julia, however, is not one of them. The only reason she is on Eurovision this year is to offend Ukraine. Instead, they offended people in Russia who have to listen to this song and cheer this girl, and lie to themselves how talented she is. In the meantime, Ukraine sent a good candidate this year with an awesome song! Go, Ukraine!

I feel bad for julia. If she doesnt qualify she might blame herself bc russia is always in final.

The song will go through to the final because it's Russia! - if any other country had sent it, it would be destroyed in the semifinal :(

I will agree with Chris and Padraig. Chorus was kinda forced in my opinion, which sounds a bit off. They do need to work on staging, and camera work (from what I heard). Other than that, Julia has a chance to go through

My friend saw a picture of the rehearsal and she didn’t even notice Yuliya. She just thought it was an albino baking soda volcano

I thought it was me but the backing vocals are so wrong, I think it might be that the man is flat - just a thought.

If Julia can have the same style staging as Poland 2015, maybe it'll work better. But I'm not a fan.

let's put it very simple so i can be NICE and HONEST about this entry: This year, Russia is like Titanic and the ocean that the ship floats above are their chances of qualifying...

Wiwibloggs is going down the hill this year. I love William as a person, but he completely lost his objectivity. He wants to be as nicest as possible, not accurate. Also, Benjamin's "reaction" video was bad. Why would you allow him to speak out like that? The video was up for a couple of hours, so possibly no one picked up on that.

God! i don't get it... really! why is every performance with blue/purple lights theme? why??? this stage is probably one of the most technological advance stage ever made in the world, the money they spent on top notch lights is worth 10x more than if they did an boring LEDs stage like always... but the creative stage designers of each delegation are bad! just bad...lazy and amateur, this stage can be just amazing! and it isn't... the ligths can done so much more! god...

+niko no it isn't. The stage performances this year is a reflection of how lazy and bad the delegations are, they just got used to put some images on the LED screens and that was it! Portugal has been so far a great host. The best music performances of all time didn't have LED...(and this stage is the most expensive of all time in Esc history)...so shame on delegations, in comparison with american stage producers they are years ahead! Beyoncé, Muse, Sam Smith...etc etc, they would do an amazing act on these stage!

Amandio, we're waiting for your light show. impress us with something stunning. do you have any example of decent light effects with all these colored flashlights? anything that will help to reveal meaning of the song in 3 minutes better than LEDs? you're in denial, man. There's no way to provide same information to viewer as it was before with screens. It is good that creative designers are "lazy' and don't go for cheap "light effects", we don't need seizures :)

The song itself is ok, a massive downgrade from what we'd usually expect from Russia, but still alright. Julia's vocals, on the other hand, have hardly improved since Moscow and thus, are still crap. Romania saw that their song was poorly received, so they came up with solid staging. Russia is still trying to push the mountain idea, even though people mocked it. Considering how touchy Russia can get about finishing low, I think this could be Russia's last entry for a while (unless the New Cold War everyone is pushing fizzles out).

Talking about how politics should not be involved in Eurovision in terms of voting but how about not letting the girls perform last year (talking about Russia here) out of pure arrogance and now ruining her performance and reputation with these half assed ideas. Sorry they're asking for it

none she would have been breaking the law and Russia was aware of it. Ukraine allowed Russia to have her perform via satellite which given her current situation would have been a much better option but they declined

I REALLY dislike dancers and backing vocalists...they are taking my attention from Julia and are making the performance lot less enjoyable.I really want her to qualify but in the same time i don't think this deserves the final Besides male-female dancers are so old-fashioned somethimes when it comes to esc
