UPSC essay writing questions 1. Rising China-Russia-Pakistan Nexus: Should India be worried? #GS2 #Essay 2. India's shift towards USA: Is it time to break the old partnerships and enter into new ones? #GS2 #Essay 3. Changing power politics around the world. Critically Analyse. #GS2 #Essay #GS2 - International Relations The 2018 nuclear energy deal between China and Russia is an outcome of changing geopolitical scenario and has far reaching consequences. Although, it is a positive move by China towards a carbon neutral economy but it's also a reflection of the changing power equations in the 21st century. This video tries to anlayse the cause and the consequences of this deal and also the overstatements about the same. It will also take you through the historically changing alliances that shaped the cold-war politics and explain, how global politics has been mainly shaped by the interests of the nations and realpolitik than ideological commitments. It will help you in answering GS2 -International relations' questions as well as Essay questions in UPSC Civil Services Exam.

India is presently in a Catch 22 situation. India's tilt towards the Western countries specially becoming the part of QUAD is causing a huge discomfort to its longest ally Russia. Thus Russia's tilt towards Sino-Pak alliance is definitely a matter of grave concern for India. What India presently needs is to emerge itself as the geo-economic power & also to achieve total independence in defense manufacturing sector. Which is easier said than done. Specially when now every nation is holding on to the major trump card of transfer of technology in their hands. We are seeing how the US & German pharmaceutical companies are not ready to do away with patency law over anti-pandemic vaccination, so when it comes the question of defense manufacturing one can understand what a hardball India needs to play in it's geo-diplomacy.

My only concern is CAATSA. Not only it is hindering the modernization of our forces but also preventing us from giving a balancing deal to Russian companies. US should think about it because these sanctions are pushing Russians away from us towards Chinese and Pakistanis and that is a big worry to us.

@Yogi Narsinghanand Current NDA government is following footsteps of previous UPA government's slow & ridiculous Non-aligned DIPLOMACY policy. India never learnt from it's mistake. India needs a strong and daring PM like Indira Gandhi. Somehow PM Modi is strong but not like Indira Gandhi.

That's why america is never a true friend to any country. The Americans think that we should follow them in every thing and we can't make deals with other countries like iran and Russia who are enemies of America. So they impose sanctions against any country doing business with American,s enemies. That's the reason due to closeness to America, we lost many good deals with iran and Russia. Americans are compelling us either to choose Russia or America, and we are getting closer to America which is not liked by Russia and they have shown it in the recent remarks that India is becoming a puppet of the west and we are losing our friendship with many Asian countries including our neighbors and here China is the major factor.

We cannot say that policy that was working since 70 years will continue to work for the coming years... The world has emerged from bipolar state.... India understand this and that's the reason it is changing its policy QUAD is the biggest example of it. P. S great analysis. 🇮🇳
