There's been huge corruption by the contractors in the silchar guwahati highway and it has been stalled since upa government. I know is very good effective honest etc. But we need tough decision makers such as Modi and Yogiji for few more decades to fix all the rotten systems on one side and nations pride and heritage on the other side but to be done parallel. Give your whole nation to Modiji for 25 years. BEFORE PLANNING ANY NEW HIGHWAY, GADKARI SHOULD ENSURE THAT ALL NATIONAL HIGHWAYS ARE THOROUGHLY FENCED ON BOTH SIDES. NHAI IS JUST WASTING PUBLIC MONEY SINCE MOST OF HIGHWAYS HAVE BECOME CONGESTED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION OF BIG BUILDINGS , COMMERCIAL COMPLEXES ETC. SO THERE SHOULD BE STRINGENT LAW TO DEMOLISH ANY ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTIONS MADE WITHIN 100 YARDS OF MAIN ROAD. BUT NHAI IS SLEEPING & IS BUSY ON MAKING MONEY. However, I would like to bring to Gadakariji’s attention a matter of concern regarding lane discipline. Many lorries, motorcycles, goods auto, and slow-moving cars tend to use the right side of the road, which can be a significant safety hazard. This issue has the potential to cause accidents, fatalities, and seriously undermine the value of such a remarkable road. I kindly request that the authorities address this issue promptly by implementing very strict rules and enforcement to ensure proper lane discipline. This step would greatly enhance the safety and efficiency of this expressway. Thank you once again for the excellent infrastructure, and I hope this feedback can contribute to making it even safer for all travelers.

Thanks Smita ji, for Info on 7 and 8 SISTERS Regions in India. I had MET Hon. NITIN Gadkari Saheb at his house (at Mahal) in Nagpur 9 years before for a SMART ROAD for SMART CITIES a TOTALLY NEW Concept. Despite his Conceptual APPROVAL and FOLLOW up with Authorities in Pune I could not achieve / Complete it. But the IDEA is STILL VALID and I would like to do if possible.

He is really a talented and committed Minister in modi cabinet, did lot of significant work related tohis portifolio. A disciplined and dignified person with no black spot in his political career Hats off. 🙏

On one side I cannot stop myself from appreciating the efforts on other hand many new roads just an year old are broken, quality of connecting bridges are full of undulation making cars to fly in the air, not to say the potholes RIGHT IN MIDDLE of the roads causing accidents. Roads are layed but quality is very very intferior among all stretches in India.

He is one of the few politicians heading a very important Ministry in India. He has a good situational knowledge and more importantly knows how to follow through and execute. The latter is more important as we are finally able to see some progress with a real impact. We are not perfect but we are making progress in this front. We need this kind of self awareness and attitude to power through.

I lived in US for long time. Every time I visit India, I see many people not following traffic rules, breaking red light, squeezing through lanes, People driving 4 wheelers like a 2 wheeler. Truckers driving trucks like a 2 wheeler. This is especially fatal on expressway. Although its improving during subsequent visits, it needs some govt push. Like in some other countries, perhaps using technology can help. For e.g. using cameras at signals and certain intervals. Let every vehicle owner add bank-account with govt. So if there is any infraction, straight-away agency sends them a picture of infraction (e.g. crossing a red light or invalid lane change or rash driving) and a bill, which if they don't pay within stipulated period, gets deducted from their bank account. or perhaps doesnt allow them renew registration/license or get their vehicle serviced. Another idea will be put bounty / reward to report such vehicles so that people can record using their phone and send video to authorities via app/website and some reward. If people watch people drive, it will be force multiplier.
