Agreed. MBT's never go into battle alone. Something as simple as superior battlefield awareness or more effective close air support wins the day. Having air superiority over the battlefield generally decides things. When it comes to taking and holding ground. Few things match the MBT.

Most US vets get tired of hearing about the total wonderfulness of allegedly "superior" Russian equipment. We've been hearing their silly lip-service for decades and most of us wouldn't roll over to see what they're yakking about. I remember crawling inside my first soviet tank. It looked like it was designed to make the enemy laugh. So suddenly they have the "best tank" on the battlefield, and it may even be reliable...probably not.

Russian tanks are a beast

Nobody ever mentions a tank's most vulnerable part - the track and suspension. A strike from today's very accurate AT weapons in that area might not kill it, but will remove one of the three main attributes of a tank - mobility.

destroying a tanks ability to move is called a mobility kill historically that is a dead tank. to give an example in OIF (i believe was the operation it occurred in). an m1 abrams took a wild rpg shot that slipped into the engine compartment. this ultimately led to it being in ok shape other than a busted power pack. however, the crew removed radios and detonated explosives inside of the tank destroying all electronics left inside of it and making it a giant piece of scrap metal. they then abandoned the tank for recovery at a later time. the tank was considered lost.

When I was a 19K in AIT we were told the most vulnerable part of the tank is the top. A .50 cal could wipe it out. The plating was the thinnest. One could take out the track and you can still have a pillbox, shoot it on the top with .50 cal and you will wipe out all. Tankers back in the day really didn't like the Hind D's or E's.

@@lubovgeorgeable depends on which tank you speak of. Most modern tanks have ample upper turret protection. An immobilised tank is, as you say, a pillbox. It is no longer a tank in the true meaning of the word as one of it's main attributes has been removed. It's not going anywhere, but the battle surely will.

when was the last time, a tank fired on another enemy tank? most of the time i see tanks engaged by helicopters or anti tank missiles fired from troops or AFV.

@@timproc9355 except CAS was never quite as good as everyone made it out to be. for example, in WW2 CAS was only actually credited for something like 2% of all tank kills. and while it is true that tanks are more vulnerable without air superiority, not having tanks makes your infantry more vulnerable.

@@nasserisback488 I whole heartedly disagree. they deserve shared credit, but not full credit. yes the Russians turned the tide of the war on the eastern front, but they had help. it is doubtful the russians could have held out without lend lease. they also got help in the form of Italy falling to the Weatern allies and D-day. it should also be mentioned the war in Europe was not the end of the war. the end of the War happened months later when Japan surrendered. and while there is debate as to if Russia turning its forces toward Japan was the ultimate cause or if it was the atomic bombs that caused it, one thing is certain. Japan didn't surrender to the Russians. it was the Americans they surrendered to, which i might add russia did not take part in any major fighting in the pacific. also remember America was successfully fighting on two fronts from 1941 to 1945. granted in Europe they were only half of one front, but that was still millions of men, and they made up the largest portion of the forces in the pacific... America's navy became the most powerful navy after WW2 for a reason.

@@robertduklus6555 it's actually quite a good tank. i'd argue it could take on even the best tanks and win. and let's face it the israeli's are really good at using weaker tanks to beat better tanks (for example egyptian and syrian T-55's were destroyed by updated sherman tanks and both nations defeated in 6 days)

Why bother one EMP satellite can cover 50 square miles and emit up two 4 waves in 5 min intervals, and reload its power source in under 4 hrs and repeat....

No problem, you can create an absolutely invulnerable tank, but it will weigh 120 tons. 60t is already a lot for Eastern European soil in autumn and spring mud with rain.

I want to say Tanks are done in the future even the UK understands this. With the cost of a Drone to one tank seems like a no-brainer. Might be able to afford 100 drones to one tank. I completely disagree…one hit, even a near miss, to the turret will disable the auto loader…bye bye tank…the crew may survive, but the tank will still be out of action.

@@paddy7812 NATO ANEs have shown that. Was funny in mid 2000s when some tankers from my base told a story about one exercise where the Leopards crosses a small river without any issues, but the M1's just stopped and complained that it would be to deep without wading kits, halting the whole joint exercise force to wait while they drive to a more shallow part. There were numerous stories like that, but in general the M1 was the butt of the jokes, instead of the french.

Incase Russia didn't notice... the age of the tank is pretty much over. They have just proven it to the whole world.

A big weakness of modern tanks has been exposed in Ukraine. The heavy Russian Tank can't move cross country due to the soft ground. They get bogged down as soon as they venture off road making them vulnerable to roving Bands of Ukrainian Foot soldiers armed with portable anti tank Missiles.

The problem the T-90MS is the same as the T-72, the crew can be no tall the 4'9 " tall, and the turret is a shot trap, so it's more dangerous to it's own crew than to the enemy. The best tank is stil the German Leopard 2A7.

I just wish americans would get the handle on the English language. It's a gun, not a cannon (the term nowadays often used in conjunction with large aircraft machine guns) and it's 'weight' not, mass, which effectively refers to volume. And it would be great if you could get rid of that horrible electronic voice.

M1 A2 sep 3 Abrams is American opinion as best in the world. Although they on par with what some countries have built. But do not necessarily have the best protection or technology equipped tank. The US are behind on many military equipment and technology. And have been for years. The Americans are not technology advanced as they think they are. Although they have the largest military budget than any other country combined. But onTechnology sense. The US have fallen behind by a few European and Asian countries military technologies. Due to more foreign countries who complete universities and gotten a higher education level in science and technology. America has the largest budget. But not necessarily have more brains to give behind the science and engineering

I understand your point, but the wealth generation of a free market system doesn't need to be pushed, simply allowed. That's not as easy as it sounds though. The political class stands in the way. It always has. Their countless regulations and tax subsidies make them and protected businesses rich at the expense of everyone else. They need to get out of the way.

The info isn’t correct for the tanks listed, and order of abilities isn’t really indicative of their place in the worlds tanks order..I really lost interest after the “7.62 CANNON with over 2,000 rnds…” . On top of that, the title off this video is MASSIVELY misleading! Where is this “most dangerous tank”? Although I don’t think the Armata is the “best tank” in the world, it least deserves a mention…Also, you forgot the Leopard 2A7, and the Challengers upgrade to the Challenger 3… Check your facts and info…this was terrible.
