Russell Westbrook’s Friend Just Warned Us

Спорт

#NBA #RussellWestbrook #Lakers
There is a reason Russell Westbrook broke up with his longtime agent that Russ doesn’t want us to know. Luckily, the agent gave some revealing quotes to ESPN that explain everything. This is a look at what happened and how it will affect Russ and the Lakers this offseason.

@@jayjames4629 you’re mad about the lakers not getting into the play-in game? Be mad at Lebron and AD for missing so many games. If Lebron and AD both played in 15 more games together, they would’ve won at least half of those which would’ve gotten them into the play-in as well and possibly a much higher seed. Westbrook played 78 games and averaged less turnovers this season then the last several. Russ was playing with a new lineup every week and still contributed his career averages. Melo needed way more than one team to be humbled. It didn't happen in OKC or Houston and he was really on his last chance when he got to Portland. Last season with the Los Angeles Lakers was really Russ's last chance after Houston and Washington didn't see a change in his game. If the Lakers can't swing a trade by training camp, expect them to offer a buyout. They will surely blame Westbrook for the unusually public divorce he had with his long-time agent. It definitely was damaging to Russ's trade value. 💁🏻‍♂️🏀✈️

I hope the league don't ostracize him and end his career early like Marbury or how they almost did Melo but it looks like its heading that way if he don't accept a lesser role like Melo had to eventually pr at least just work with your next team and coach as much as possible. He needs to learn how to shoot, that's been his problem since OKC, he isn't the guy in his early 20's anymore as he's athleticism is on the decline. Rondo is an example, he never was a shooter but last few years he decided to learn how to. For the Cavs he shot 39.7% from deep. The Lakers championship run he was in the 40%. Older guards need to learn to catch and shoot.

@Big Problem averaging a triple double, while stealing rebounds from your teammates and only passing the ball when you know its going to be a jumper or layup, isn't as impressive as people make it out to be. Westbrook has limited basketball skills for his position in the league, and its only going to get worse as he ages. Media overrated his stat padding abilities and now that he's with LeBron, they're throwing him under the bus to not blame LeBron for this bad roster. But Westbrook has his share to blame to go around.

Russ is the hardest player to build a roster around. He won't come off the bench so you gotta somehow insert him in the starting lineup, play 100% (on offense) but is very inefficient shooting, takes way to many drives, doesn't play defense and too many turnovers... that is the opposite of where the league is heading. We saw how he fared in Houston in a system not designed for him... I don't think GSW takes him because he obviously has some behavior issue (I should say self-reflection issue). I think he goes to a crappy team where he can start, give some experience to young guys (OKC?), make 1 or 2 playin push and retire... unless he has a Carmelo epiphany and accepts where his game is at...
