People don't take open runs seriously, especially draftniks but there is a reason Troy Weaver fought hard for Russell in the war room. He knew how good Russell was in an open court style game. Even at UCLA, he really wasn't that good offensively. He was more known for defense back then.

As a spurs fan, I quickly realized Westbrook was a problem. The spurs were up 2-0 in that 2012 WCF and OKC came roaring back winning 4 straight to advance to the finals. 10 years later and Russell has established himself as one of the all time greats. So much fun watching him play…(triple-double GOD)

Just watched the '08 NBA Draft and discovered they were teammates. I can tell you Kevin Love evolved his game to a more dramatic degree than Russell Westbrook.

Love Westbrook, sad to see him being scapegoated in Los Angeles when anyone with even half a brain should have known to aging ball dominant players who cant shoot or play defense wouldn't work on the same team in 2022.... His peak was incredible. He was literally willing horrible OKC teams to the playoffs after Durant left.... Fans are so fickle they will complain players dont try every night, they rest, they dont bring it but then when Westbrook was giving 110% and averaging a triple double something that hadn't been done in 60 years: "He's stat padding." lmao getting a rebound isnt stat padding, its something thats integral to winning at the highest level.

micheal olusanya he doesn’t have to be better at defense. He’s 6’10 and a way better rebounder. I’d waive Tucker and sign Love if I was Morey. I’d also trade Gordon for picks to free up cap space.

Kevin Love was a great player in his Minnesota days I hated to see him play with LeBron and Kyrie because he turned into Chris Bosh when he joined the Heat and Bosh was nasty in Toronto before going to Miami it's like they Lost that hunger...
