Still blows my mind that he did not live to see 40 year's old.

Seems like a genius business move by Eddie Murphy to have turned down hosting Def Comedy Jam. He seems to be one of the few "stars" who consciously lays low, avoids the limelight, and who overstands that, "Less is more." Eddie, Prince, Jerry Seinfeld, and George Clooney immediately come to mind as entertainers who overstood that limiting your exposure adds to your mystique.

It makes sense he was in debt by the time he sold. I didn’t think the record label could have been in debt… not with all the subsidiaries labels under def jam. But for Phat farm, rush card, rush management, etc it was a good time to sell. Damn what is it like to have privacy on a yacht🙇🏻‍♀️ a rich man once told me he would never spoil it for me…
