Gladiator would be a shame, just a shame... you guys all know and know what I'm about and know that A Gladiator 2 would just be a shame! You all know I'm constantly looking for a Gamechanger that will change film history! I am working on a screen play of the slap heard around the world 🌎 and want Michael P Jordan to play Will Smith and have John Legazamo play Chris Rock!

I am such a fan of his ... thank you for the brilliant interview
Josh: You're one of the best interviewers out today. Furthermore, this episode with Russell Crowe is highly anticipated and he's one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema.
Absolutely wonderful interview! Could of listened another hour on more Gladiator talk. Gladiator is one of my all time favorites and it's awesome that "strength and honor" came from Russell
And one thing that also hit me about this interview that I've never heard before...Russell has been very kind and helped A LOT of other people to also become very successful...which is awesome!

Wonderful interview, Josh. I appreciate how you ask Russell a question and allow him to respond at his leisure instead of rushing him thru to another. That is how we get the golden nuggets because...as he always says...he's a storyteller and a good story takes time to tell. Thank you!

I love Russell Crowe. He is very gracious with this interviewer, who presents as awkward and clumsy. The conversation is redeemed by the kindness and intelligence of this intense performer.

I love me some Russell Crowe and the movie was great too the Pope's Exorcist
I.luvs Russell crowe ❤
Russell has surely calmed in the years since making Gladiator. He was only 34 when the film was made. That was the last Academy Awards I watched because I knew that the film was a phenomenon and that Russell and Ridley Scott were going to win big. I've watched Gladiator over 100 times since it was released in 2000. And it's aged well. It's as good today as it was 23 years ago. Anyway, thank you for this great interview with one of my favorite actors of all time.

I love Man of Steel. I'm sad Noah wasn't discussed, I think it's a brilliant movie, would have loved to hear some dishing about Darren Aronofsky.

Fun fact, Aronofsky almost directed Man of Steel. Christopher Nolan talked to a lot of directors about the project (Notably: Tony Scott, Ben Affleck, Matt Reeves, Robert Zemeckis, Aronofsky, and of course, Zack Snyder). While Tony Scott was Nolan's original choice, he ultimately didn't want to take on the project. Zemeckis similarly wanted nothing to do with it. Affleck and Reeves were more interested but ultimately weren't in the right place with the story. Nolan's final two choices were Aronofsky and Snyder. It's unknown why Aronofsky, who Nolan and WB reportedly favored, couldn't do it. There doesn't seem to be any bad blood, as Aronofsky praised Man of Steel heavily after its release and spoke highly of the discussions he had on it. I think Aronofsky might've wanted more time on the film while Snyder was willing to work on an accelerated schedule.

@@northwindkey I think Aronofsky does better on projects he conceives and writes --- I'm not a fan of either Black Swan or Wrestler. Snyder was right for Man of Steel.

Not a single human being that's seen any of your comments actually believes you're Keanu. Get a life, you're genuinely pathetic. @@keanureeves666
His role of Bud White in L.A. Confidential, men should fight for women like he does.
Russell Crowe is a nice, gentlemanly man. Calmingly avoiding embarrassing you Mr Horowtiz, by ignoring your use of the name of his Jesus as a nonthinking power-word (the actual, original definition of blasphemy). And him gentlemanly not correcting your swear-word apology with the statement along the lines of "Jesus is probably not the right word." For, No, in fact it is exactly the right word. EXACTLY. Variety Magazine's review of the movie actually is almost exactly titled, The Power of [Jesus] Christ Compels You. Indeed. But our a habitual, unthinking sins do not die when the camera goes on. What was the last sentence the Pope read in the movie (medieval Latin probably?) - Peccata tu inventare te? Precisely. This interview was the first I've ever heard of Josh Horowitz (I actually thought "happy sad confused" after the clip's title and a colon is a nuanced Paul Ekman-style reading the loveable actor's facial expressions). And while I will probably finish your watching your interview with him, your breaking the 3rd Commandment right at the start by using Jesus's name in vain, cast a pall over the sincerity of your implicit claim of understanding Crowe's actual beliefs. Who he is as a man. Including him referencing Amorth (in the yoga-joke), putting God as the centre of everything. Please understand: I'm not complaining that you don't understand Christianity and the nature and essence of the Tri-une God of Christianity, Mr Horowitz. I'm saying you not understanding Christianity shows you not really understanding the subject of your interview, Mr Crowe (except perhaps, as a great character actor).
RC is one of the best actors out there…👊🏽🔥🤙🏽
God how Mr. Crowe has aged! No offense, but this did remind me of my own aging😂 I was so young when Gladiator came out!
two bespectacled men. one is a cool bespectacled man, the other is a so-so bespectacled man.

There are many truths stated in the movie. The yoga thing is true as well and there is even more on that subject than that quote. You may not believe it but that doesn’t make it less true.

Suck it
The Popes Exorcist is a hammy Movie. Crowe swindles his way through this trite garbage as best he can. The movie is only slightly better than that utter Joke ´Exorcist 2´ Mr Boorman gave the world. ( I bitterly regret being stupid and buying a ticket to see it years ago.) I thought Crowe had more integrity, but as usual $$ talks... Josh, what do you think?
