She turned down her spot on the CT in January and said "I'd like to work on my surfing, spending time with my family and friends, and school to be more mentally and physically ready to face that challenge. Thank you to everyone for all of your support." So maybe another year and a half of free surfing and she'll be on the tour, she will 18 next year.

Fantastic video all around ! Caity has quickly become a favorite of mine watching the new CT season. She rips and rips with such style and acumen for a young girl that it's amazing. I give it maybe 3 years and she will be right there challenging for a world championship.

I thought the same thing about Russel and he out here being progressive, and Caity is just mental, great edit.

nice to see Russell doing so well ,, i remember when he was just a baby playing in the sand at Rocky Point ,, he certainly got Kirks genes that's for sure ,, miss seeing Kirk out in the lineup at Himalayas or getting pitted at Logs ,, wouldn't mind getting my hands on a new KB gun either

Not gonna lie, I'm really excited for her future and what she's going to bring to women's surfing together with the other young women in her league.

I knew Russ's mom and dad when they lived on Oahu. The both charge hard in real waves. No wonder he shreds. I 🤙

I love both of these ripper/chargers. She's right up there with Carissa as my fave fem surfers. But if these 2 ever had a kid it would burst into flames if ever exposed to more than a 37 W fluorescent lightbulb, much less the sun.

One is insufficient. It takes two female world championships to equal one male world championship, since the female tour has half the competitors.

The worst male pro is better than the best female pro. Wow. In truth, the WSL should totally cancel the female tour, as it’s entirely parasitic on the male tour.
