    I can’t het through it either without getting choked up. I STILL can’t watch Time Stand Still. I watched it when it first was released but haven’t been able to watch it again since we lost Neil in 2020. I am getting better after 4 years but I’m not there yet. I loved the world more with him in it. 🤘🎶💜

    I can't watch or listen to this song without losing it... check the lyrics, it's autobiographical to the band and anyone (a metaphor of course) just a perfect way to end one of the greatest bands to ever do it. What a legacy, of integrity, friendship and art of the highest caliber. RIP Neil.

    You should listen to my second favourite Canadian 3 piece band which is : The Tea Party. Here are a few incredible songs from them you should check out : Temptation, Fire in the head, Sister Awake, Psychopump, The bazaar, Save me, Raven skies, and my favourite ... Correspondence. That will give you a good idea of what they can do. They have a unique and amazing sound with middle eastern under tone but heavy sounding. If you like Rush, Led Zeppelin and The Doors with a touch of early 90's grunge you should like it !!!!!!!!

    The beginning of "The Trees" also has Alex on acoustic. I think Alex took over the keys for Geddy to put all his attention on singing the deepest verse. "The Garden" was their last studio song track. This was Neil's final poem.

    Honestly, the best part of this reaction was seeing the smile keep growing on your face as the song went on. 😄 I think Alex has spent a lot of his musical career trying to make his electric guitars sound like as many other instruments (acoustic and otherwise) as he can, lol. That said, if you want to hear Alex on a 12-string acoustic, you might want to listen to their song "Hope" from the Snakes & Arrows album. You can find a live version from Holland that is amazing. Cheers!

    I knew it!!! I knew you were going to start your reaction just the way you did. The song is perfect. It inspires awe in the hearing. I chose Headlong Flight and The Garden to fully demonstrate that Rush never lost it. Indeed, I consider Clockwork Angels to be one of my five most favourite Rush albums. The song took on even greater depth and meaning for many a Rush fan in the wake of Neil Peart's death, as it is about the protagonist of their story looking back and re-evaluating his life and its meaning. The fact that this was the very last song on the 19th and final Rush studio album just seemed perfect in retrospect.

  • @SnowDogisVictorious

    @SnowDogisVictorious

    It would have to have been a premonition, given that the song was written in 2012 and Neil didn't develop symptoms that led to his cancer diagnosis until the summer of 2016. Of course, his first wife, Jacquie Taylor, did die of cancer in 1998, so he could certainly have had that in mind when he penned those lyrics.
