I remember listening to this in my room the first time when I bought this.

I've been listening to RUSH for over 40 years . I bought Hold Your Fire in 1987 and I'm sorry to say, it's the only piece of their music I ever owned. Since discovering Band Maid in 2021, I'm going back in time and rediscovering music i heard countless times but never really LISTENED to . It has been quite an adventure. The Rush superlatives have been done to death so I won't go there . Better late than never. Rush set the bar so high,so long ago...I guess people will be playing catch up for years to come ! Great reaction!! This is my #1 Rush song - has been for a long LONG time (2112 is not far behind). Besides the synth opening (get chills every time I hear that beginning drone), the bass, guitar & especially Neil's drums (RIP) are on point - and then come the lyrics - man do they ever speak to this self-professed nerd! Felt as though Neil was speaking directly to me (as was likely for all of us nerds) Neil (indeed our GOAT, The Professor) has an isolated drum video of Subdivisions, which I HIGHLY recommend checking, and maybe doing a reaction to (given your headphones were yielding crap sound). It really highlights how awesome & intricate his drumming was on this track! Cheers.

This one always takes me back. I'm sure I'd heard Rush before (my dad probably played them some at least), but Signals was the first cassette I owned. Got it for Christmas, I think, when I was 10 or 11, so 83/84ish. I listened to it endlessly, back to back the way kids can, playing on the floor of my room with my Legos. I'm still sent right back there whenever I hear anything from it, but especially Subdivisions. I think those lyrics are timeless...being a teenager sucks, always! lol

Nice to hear the Edith Piaf comment. One of my brothers played a small part in a professional production of Piaf back in the mid ' 80's. My introduction to the marvelous chanteuse was in an intimate venue at a time when her brilliance was being rediscovered by the masses . Uh, I don't think they will be performing live anymore without their drummer. Just saying. Regarding this video and the sound quality, it sounds a bit muted. Not very clear and I've got a couple of decent earbuds that are in ear. So, try a better pair of headphones and/or a different music video since Neal won't be performing live, no pun intended I love this band and lets enjoy the videos as best we can. Count me in. Celebrate their contribution to our enjoyment of RUSH! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
