Saw the band many times over the years, a few times in Toronto. The first time I saw them there I was in the balcony, Alex side, Maple Leaf Gardens, and of course there were ushers all over. The one nearest us was up there in years, a white-haired gent, and wasn't paying very much attention to the crowd (there wasn't much going on). He was paying attention to the band and head-bobbing right along with the music. It was really fun to see him getting into it. I was in my twenties, he had to be pushing 70.

I was at exactly the right age in high school in Brighton Ontario when Rush came out. I followed them carefully their whole career. Started in the 70’s and kept going. I see them taking a tiny step back in with South Park. But this intro is amazing and makes me cry for Neil.
First concert i ever attended without parents was Rush on Signals Tour. What a memory!!
RIP, Jerry Stiller.
Jerry Stiller opening a Rush show. AWESOME! R.I.P Mr. Stiller you will be so missed. Great person I hold dear to my heart.
There is no denying the individual and collective musicianship of this legendary trio... Long Live Rush!
From 2:49-3:20. You seriously could not ask for a better intro to a concert than that. That A chord Alex hits in the first note is out of this fucking world
Present. Never gets old and never will.
I got this for Christmas one year on DVD. Best part was it was after my dad hooked up his surround sound present. We jammed to this like a real concert. I didn't go to R30, but I loved R40 slowly watching the stage and music go back in time. R40 was incredible, and made even more unforgettable as their last. Thanks for the memories Neil!
I’ve seen Rush on R30 tour in Prague, 26.09.2004. I’ve seen Three Kings in their prime!
Watching greatness never gets old!,
I got up to Passage To Bangkok, then unaccountably, my eyes started leaking. Could it be because I know I'll never see them perform it live? Such a badass song, the live crowd really appreciated it.
Rush has a great sense of humor! At some point of every Rush concert, you couldn't help to laugh.
I could literally put this on a loop and listen to it for the rest of my life.
Alex blazing away on a PRS is the best sound and tone he ever got .
Can't get enough of this!! Greatest intro I have ever heard!!!
What an opening! Greatest band ever
Loved this intro…saw it at the Hollywood Bowl and all the famous RUSH nerds were there 😅
Sent shivers down my spine ! I can't put into words how these tunes make me feel ! Tearful actually ! My youth , my middle age , and now my old age ! Thanks guys ; )
Amazing band live. So much music from 3 musicians wow 🇨🇦🫶
Amazing … We all so miss this incredible band.
It really was unfair to concentrate so much talent into one band.
The medley of songs they blend in here is a thing of musical mastery..so much creativity and versatility..
One of the all time best rock trios to grace a stage one of a kind band never to be duplicated ever bin following them since highschool I'm now 65 I'm also a drummer so Neil was a great inspiration for me
Genuine brilliance from all three for 30+ and yet I can still hope that my children could have the same...love and experience that we we've gone through blessed. Peace and love
No other band sounds like Rush. They were something special! Flawless!
Rush was the only band I'd pay to see play live, and I did, many times.
Jesus, a perfectly arranged medley of classic rush
I've seen Rush so many times that when ever they would announce tickets were on sale automatically I planned to go buy them.
That was one of the funnest things I have ever watched on KZread. And to see Jerry being a big fanboy during the "Bangkok" snippet was too cool. Thank you for posting this!
Love this band... Just a great 3 man band that never stopped delivering...
A blink-and-you'll-miss-it performance for the ages. Could only be pulled off by a band as masterful as Rush (a trio nonetheless). And kicking things off with Spirit of the Radio RIGHT after?!?! Sheeeeesh this crowd must have been transcending to another dimension.
Rush, masters of the signature change mid song, and you would never notice!! Love their music, always have.!! RIP NEIL
That drummer is one of the best. Rush is amazing.

Neil Peart. RIP
Holy shit...unfuckingbelievable...perfection...RUSH is the GOAT...
Glad I saw them a couple of times even way back to 1977. They are sublime.
Cool to share my june 8 birthday with mr stiller. Takes a special mind to really understand Rush. Icons. RIP Neil
I wish I appreciated this more at the time. They're relaxing into the groove of each tune in the meddley and that's cool. All I could think about in the years around when it was released is how Neil got rid of his awesome set, the kind I had a relatively faithful duplicate of in my house.
so glad they performed "bastille day"!

So thankful I was able to see them back in 2013. One of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to. No opener. Just 3 hours of RUSH
Love that reverb on anthem 😊😊😊😊
This is my more than 100th times listening to the intro. I bet I would listening to it until my twilight years

I am sincerely glad you find enjoyment like that, in it. Rock on.
I can only speak for myself, but, there are many possible choices for the second best rock band of all time. There is only one for the best. Thanks gentlemen. I've been a fan since album # 1.
farewell to kings toronto '77 ?, 3rd row track seats , unbelievable !!!! fan for life !!!
I was at the NEC gig in Birmingham UK, front row seats too, absolutely phenomenal!
I miss them so mush and my dream days in Toronto.
Absolutely spectacular! The Boys live, a winner every time.
What a RUSH....Incredible to see and listen to this again, sound quality is spot on. Incredible.
Three genius musicians.
What a memory rush......ohya
I can watch that over and over again ....and ged gets to rest his vocals 😊😊😊
Thanks for posting this. Rush is the greatest and this video is awesome. Great inclusion of Jerry Stiller. May he rest in peace.
Takes me back to Cleveland in the 70's, best F'in show + the Rapid engineer was hitting our joint & taking swigs off the bottle of Jack on the way back to Brookpark station!
My personal favorite intro by Rush... :)
One just can't be limited to three hours of Rush music. A live show MUST be the entire catalog.
Great music is timeless.
Greatest opening ever!
I saw my first Rush concert in 1986 I also was there for the final show in 2015 I saw R40 and... I LOVE R30!

Happy birthday, Geddy..... Mine tomorrow... Wish it was a day earlier RIP Neil..... The greatest band ever. Big love from soggy England
best band ever
I was there in Frankfurt 24 september 2004, first row, absolutely amazing
The intro to Finding My Way changed my life
Love Geddy's "check-in" at 5:24.
Can't wait to crank this on my next road trip! The best ever!! RUSH 'til the end of time!! Oh Ya!!!!!
This is aggressively good-natured and happy.
One of the best medleys, awesome!
Ahhh my daily Rush fix I love to say I'm an addict
Amazing!!! I love the sound of it!!! just sublime performance!!!🤘🧠👑💥!!!
I appreciate that first item in the list. Thank you. I like your updates, too. Great choices!
Wow, the low end is sick and killing it!!!! awesome upload! Thank you!!!
I love how they never stopped evolving, never stopped improving, and just got cooler over the years.
Leaves shivers all over my body and have to have tissues close to wipe the eyes. The memories
