one of the saddest days of my long life was when Rush passed away, his radio show was always a beacon of hope that got me through difficult times. what's even sadder is that i don't see anyone on the horizon who can even come close to replacing or equaling Rush.

Late to this party, but rush says (about Trump), “it’s the elite vs. the real people”. What about Trump is “real” other than the fact he doesn’t have a filter? That’s what everyone loves about him, “he tells it like it is”. But he isn’t “real” in any sense of what you and I are. He’s never had to worry about how he’s going to eat or feed his child. He’s never had to face a tenth of the challenges your average American deals with. Is DC any better? No, but Trump never “drained the swamp”. Look at his choice for sec of education, Betsy DeVos. She’s a billionaire who has never been through the public school system, either herself or as a mother to a child in the system. Look at his choice to lead the USPS, Louis DeJoy. He is super wealthy and has financial interests that go against the postal service. I don’t get it at all. It’s like everyone is just lying to themselves about who he is because “he tells it like it is”.

Thank God for these two Great Americans...

It's November 2022 and I miss Rush more than ever. He was such an inspirational soul. Even if I was having a horrible day I could always count on 3 hours of positivity in the midst of that.

@@annep.1905 Just gave Turley a listen. I can follow him as another conservative voice but there will never be another Rush. For 25 years, Monday through Friday, 11am-2pm(I'm in the central time zone), Rush held all the leftist wacko craziness at bay. No matter the news of the day, at 11:06 M-F it was all going to be ok. The optimism the man had was unsurpassed. Life made sense. That's missing now. No one on the radio has that kind of confidence. On television Tucker seems to be ,in my opinion, the boldest voice out there. Rush would be proud of the man that Tucker is evolving into. Anyway, I appreciate your suggestion of Turley.

@@smyers6211 I agree. Rush was and is unsurpassed, and unequalled. I don't think any conservatives out there have the same faith in God that he had. I miss his "Talent on Loan from God," proclamation on the radio, and his open faith. Few Conservative commentators today give so much glory to Jesus Christ in their daily shows, unless they are also primarily offering Biblical commentary. I think that is one reason Rush is unsurpassed, he made God part of his everyday life, gave him credit for everything! To God be the glory!

@@annep.1905 That was a very comforting aspect of Rush. He was first and foremost a Christian. His conservatism was rooted in his love and reverence for God. He knew what he stood for and never backed down. As Christians we need to be tough and bold the way Rush was. Hey I received, as a birthday gift, the book "Radio's Greatest of All Time". We need better monitor equipment for professionals in radio/TV, such as full over the ear headphones.. not ear pieces. I am fortunate being a musician and in radio for awhile to have used full range (hifi) Sennheiser HD-420SL headphones... absolutely no hearing loss.

I absolutely adore Rush Limbaugh! I've been listening to his common sense show for over 40 years now. I've agreed with everything he's said through the years although I didn't want to. I kept thinking that he was just a blow-hard, know-it-all radio host and waited for him to slip up and make a dumb statement but he never did and he's still is as brilliant as he always has been. I was listening to Rush since the WOAI days. Definitely the start of the current Conservative Movement.

I didn’t vote for the guy (Gary Johnson is pretty much my ideal Presidential candidate) but I’d crawl through broken glass under sniper fire to vote for Trump next time. Although I usually vote for Libertarians, the Democrats have managed to do something the Pubbies could never do: convince me to vote straight Republican.

Mike Whitfield I’m a libertarian myself and I thought about voting Johnson, I ended up voting for trump just because of my knowledge of how evil Hillary Clinton is and I felt thAt trump was the only chance to deny her the presidency although I still figured Hillary would win. I’m so glad it worked out the way it did.

Jx 500 Imagine if the killed journalist was turkish and a critic of erdogsn, or canadian and a critc of trudeau, or british and a critic of theresa may. Imagine how hard it will be for trump to keep his mouth shut from trying to run after erdogan or trudeau or theresa may on the matter without waiting for the results of a proper investigation. "We The People" means the majority of Americans, which is the Popular Vote, which Trump did NOT win. The Electoral College, which is controlled by a faction within the electorate, is why Trump has power. You're too illiterate to understand this, but corporate America and white supremecists make up most of who placed Trump where he is. It's fascism, not "We The People."
