im in a house at UW and I completely agree with everything you said. I rushed as a sophomore bc I was too scared to go through rush week as a freshman (none of my friends rushed & I was worried being in a sorority as a POC). COB-ing is a way better process for joining a house cause its so much more chilled and the girls are much more informal, so you can actually see how they are regularly. But yeah, the system is honestly wack and way too harsh on girls.

on move in day, do u have to unpack all your “dorm” things in the room they assign you or can you leave that stuff in you car and just take in stuff you’ll need? cause like what’s the point of unpacking all that stuff if your just gonna have to pack it up again at the end of the week? idk if that question made sense lol edit: this was a really great video. thanks for sharing! it was super helpful!!

i'm glad it helped! you don't have to unpack all of your things in the room they assign you. i only brought what i would need for rush (you get a list), and my parents would bring everything else at the end of the week :)

After you dropped how did you sort out housing? Is it too late to get a dorm? I live out of state, so what would the living situation post-drop be like?
