This week, we take a look at rural France and its development through the ages. Like in many other European nations, France saw a massive exodus towards its urban centres during the 19th and 20th centuries - a demographic shift that has had long-lasting effects. But the shift has also left rural France with several issues to deal with, such as education and technology, pushing many of these areas to now go on a charm offensive to try to attract the country’s so-called "neo-rural" population.

Rural France looks VERY attractive to me. Imagine having access to everything France has to offer + a quiet corner of a picturesque medieval village. Telecommunications is key.
Rural France is absolutely beautiful.
I was pining for French rural life. But then I realized that I lived in western Massachusetts for four years and it resembles the German countryside quite well. I've never been to Vermont, but I'd imagine it's even more beautiful than western Massachusetts, with huge amounts of forests, the darling villages, the rustic covered bridges. So I already have beautiful countryside only 3 hours away from where I live. And no passports, visas, immigration and new language rigmarole to deal with. So...time to move to rural Vermont! :D
If I had the money, I would retire in that place. So peaceful
The country sides are so cool and calm. I love the way u presenter it.
That was an interesting story. It needs updating in the age of Covid19. I imagine more people have moved to the countryside to have more space to breathe.
I always like France... beautiful country , city, also like village life...
I’ve had to drive around Central France four or five times and it’s empty! Villages, buildings, houses all closed down. Catastrophic
This is how all of France should look like! If Paris were like this it would be a much more beautiful place. I love France !
i remember when i was spending my vacation in the small commune in Bretagne. it was impossible to use my mobile phone. i was only getting signal on the cliff. but having to travel to find signal was fun indeed ( for a tourist ) , it allow me to discovered a lot of cool place.
As part of my previous job, I visited france on multiple occasions. People are very friendly and food is excellent.

In Canada, virtually every village has at least one cell phone provider, and this is a huge country geographically. Why can't France adopt a similar practice? I live in a smaller town, and we have high speed internet comparable to any city (9,000 people).
absolutely love rural france or the countryside....love it...wish I could stay and work there after graduation but didnt.....just managed to travel there.....this is the real France
Really beautiful country and beautiful nice peoples. Lots of love
