Rupert Spira Guided Meditation - 'I' is the Name of Pure Knowing

Rupert Spira is a contemporary spiritual teacher, writer, and artist known for his teachings on non-duality and the nature of consciousness. He is widely recognized for his clear and accessible approach to Advaita Vedanta, which is a traditional Indian philosophy emphasizing the unity of the self (Atman) with the ultimate reality (Brahman).
Spira's teachings focus on exploring the nature of consciousness and its relationship to experience, perception, and the sense of self. He often uses direct inquiry, guided meditation, and contemplative practices to help individuals recognize their essential nature as pure awareness.
In addition to teaching, Rupert Spira has authored several books, including "The Transparency of Things," "Presence: The Art of Peace and Happiness," and "The Nature of Consciousness." He also conducts retreats, workshops, and online courses worldwide, offering guidance and support to those interested in exploring the nature of reality and the path to inner peace and freedom.
Summary:
The video script explores the relationship between the mind, consciousness, and experience. It emphasizes that all experience takes place within the mind and is known by the mind. It delves into the nature of the mind as a flow of thoughts, images, feelings, sensations, and perceptions, and highlights the presence of a knowing element that remains unchanged throughout all experiences. This knowing element, referred to as “I,” is the pure consciousness that illuminates all objects of experience. It is timeless, unconditioned, and the essence of our being.

47:10 onwards🙏 THE KNOWN IS THE KNOWING: THE KNOWING IS THE KNOWN The known is not separate from KNOWING. There is Oneness not Twoness. There is no "knowing of thought," or "knowing of anything whatsoever." There are no objects or people somehow separate from KNOWING. This is the meaning of Oneness. Thank you RS. Thank you SHN.
