RuPaul went home and laughed at each one of those powerless, carnal preachers......I remember when I was in sin in knew what a "Real" preacher should say to me which was not to encourage my sin, furthermore to tell me there was a way out....May God we have embarked on the last days.........

The message they were trying to send is they are just as sick as he is. From Dewey who is in a secret society and brings godless music into church and jamal no words for him and John Gray who is not funny and sang thriller in the church to the other one in the corner, this is no shock.

Okay, struggling with this. I think in an effort to not turn people away, the Body of Christ is compromising too much. It's one thing to say, we have different beliefs, etc., but to congratulate him on a show that is most definitely NOT of God bothers me. This is what to consider. Yes, we want people to not feel so condemned that they don't want to hear the word of God, but after an encounter with us (Christians) will people feel compelled to want to be obedient to God's word? Okay, so sometimes we just plant a seed and may never know. My concern is as we work on showing grace to sinners, we have to be careful about what we say and how. This is a huge platform with a potentially big impact for God. I'm worried they may (perhaps unknowingly & I pray unwillingly) make a skewed impact. On the flip side, maybe someone will decide to want to grow closer to Christ as a result. That remains to be known.

idk what was said behind closed doors or off air, but I do understand that there was a compromise made somewhere for this to take place. love isn't simply kind gestures, and acts of generosity to people, but love consist of correcting someone when they are wrong or you feel they are wrong. if they never mentioned it on air they did a huge disservice to all Christians everywhere, and if they didn't mention or speak to him personally they just show they either really don't believe the Bible, GOD, OR they lack courage for their convictions making them cowards. idk, but I do understand something is not right about this.

I don't understand what people on here are talking about. Rupaul was brought on the show to talk about his shows. Okay one of those show is rupaul's Drag Race but understand this there are straight men who make money off of Drag. Tyler Perry make his money from drag. If they had him on the show to talk sexuality that would be different. People judge way to much. Jesus hung with worldly people. This is why so many people turn away from the church because people judge you before you can get in the door. If you are a good christian the path you walk with God should bring people to God by seeing how he has worked for you.

I think he had the right to state all he believe and the show was going well. The preachers could have took the opportunity to say, well on the other hand this is what Christ mean by that, which will plant a seed to all that is watching including the guest. The purpose and title of their show let guest know what they are coming for. They may not agree, or at the moment take what you say, but Christ wants his gospel to be spoken. Come on, who will advocate for Christ? What got me is the preacher advertising the show for the world to watch. One point for Satan in his case. lol.....

We have to first show people the love that Christ offers all of us, then give them the rules on how to live this life. @charelle, in my opinion, one does not need to get information from talk shows or reality shows to have cultural awareness, we need to go and seek the harvest, be where the harvest is. We need to actively be in the marketplace and befriend others, be in their lives and form relationships. This is what Christ did. Whenever Christ spoke about making disciples, he used proactive terms; "go" "seek" "fishers of men." Is it up to us Sis. Fishermen know where the fish is, they know what their bait is and the power of their bait, they understand the seasons and times. We have to be just as proactive and wise.

We are all sinners saved by grace and not to judge but my question is would Apostle Paul, Elijah, John the Baptist sit through an interview like this, congratulate Rupaul and endorse an "effiminate" lifestyle God clearly declares sinful? 3 Pastors, 1 drag queen and no one had the conviction to share the gospel with him? I wonder how they would have reacted had Christ himself appeared on the show that very minute. This is sowing confusion and God is not the author of confusion. The scripture is true... God has spoken: God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion (Rom 1:26-27).

***** "Did God speak those words?" Great question! "The Bible has been authored, translated, and interpreted by fallible men with perceptions, agendas, limited understanding, and misunderstandings." I'm confused about your statement. "Quoting singular Bible verses is useless without a contextual explanation. There are several people, scholarly theologians and scriptural historians included, that can quote and explain the same verse with a different perspective as you." Your first statement is correct. The rest of the information is not correct. Studying the Bible is sort of a science. Concocting different meanings for verses create major issues. Most verses are very clear and others have some difficulty. Nevertheless, the Bible is very clear about sexuality, marriage, and sin. Please the bottom verse. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God 16. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17. that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

+Big “DenySelf” Papa There are several "Christian" denominations that use the same Bible you quote from and there are differences in their doctrines, teachings, understandings, and interpretations. I think your indoctrination is clear about sexuality, marriage, and sin but others just as qualified as you and your teachers may disagree and are able to use the Bible to support their views and ideas. Many people that study the bible objectively see that it is not to be taken literally in all its entirety. Traditional modern Christian doctrines are based on studying the Bible subjectively in the context of a particular denomination or ideology. To study it scientifically one would need to consider historical and cultural context and that would include more modern scientific knowledge around the constructs of sexuality, marriage, and even sin and the cultural context in which Paul's letters were written.

***** Some truth. Speaking in tongues, women preaching, was Christ white or black are some debatable topics. However, sexuality and marriage between a husband and wife are not debatable topics...sorry. The Bible never condone homosexuality or Transgenderism...never. No needs to be qualified to identify this information. But you are correct, the Christian church disagree on some areas. Rupaul is living in sin...period!

+Big “DenySelf” Papa Thanks for your response. So some topics are debatable and not necessarily condoned or condemned, are those the things that will be pardoned because they are debatable? Divorce and remarriage are also very debatable within denominations as well as several other topics. Would someone be living in sin if their sexual orientation was homosexual, yet they were a virgin or not sexually active? This is a very debatable topic as well, but it seems to hinge on the definition and acceptance of what sexual orientation and homosexuality are.

  • @dsanders74

***** No problem! "So some topics are debatable and not necessarily condoned or condemned, are those the things that will be pardoned because they are debatable? Divorce and remarriage are also very debatable within denominations as well as several other topics." Some are debatable...yes! For example, slavery is a big topic (with the atheist community) that the Bible speaks about, yet condemned and gives instructions for the slave and the master to follow. One of the main issues with not following the interpretation rules or science of interpretation is taking slavery out of context and enslaving Africans for centuries. The Bible masterfully connects the same word to being "a slave to righteousness" (which is a good thing) and to being a slave to a human master whom you are making payments with labor. Both type of slaves are honored by God. Both are equal. "Divorce and remarriage are also very debatable within denominations as well as several other topics." Divorce in a marriage can be debatable depending on the situation (i.e. husband's heart is hard, safety issues, etc.) Nevertheless, God hates Divorce. Jesus’ teaching on divorce is equally strong. The religious teachers asked Jesus, “Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” (Matthew 19:3). Jesus answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate” (Matthew 19:4-6; cf. Genesis 2:24). Jesus then noted that the Law had allowed divorce only because people had a “hardness of heart” and were bent on doing what they wanted anyway. Divorce was never part of God’s original design (Matthew 19:8). Remarriage is debatable also. "Would someone be living in sin if their sexual orientation was homosexual, yet they were a virgin or not sexually active? Good question! Technically, no. Heterosexual or homosexual virgins are just virgins. One of the differences is the individual's relationship with God. Mental lust can create a problem for both individuals. Jesus stated that a person sins by simply lusting after a woman or man. Which can include watching porn or looking at someone's spouse to lust. But if given the opportunity to not be a virgin would the individual follow God's non-debatable standard for man and woman or leave the original creation for a same sex attraction. "This is a very debatable topic as well, but it seems to hinge on the definition and acceptance of what sexual orientation and homosexuality are." Homosexual sexual activity is not debatable at all regardless of the denomination. The Bible is very clear about sexual sin. All sexual orientation sexual sin is sin with the except of heterosexual marriage which is condoned and praised in the Bible. In fact, there is an entire book dedicated to marriage, love, and sex between a man and woman in the Song of Solomon. The Bible doesn't praise homosexual sex or heterosexual sex outside of marriage. Does it!?

Y'all are missing the entire point. They embraced this man where he is so that God can use one of them to minister to him. If they bashed him or bombarded him on national TV there would be no chance for personal ministry. The fact that he had a level of respect for them says they can have his ear. The fact that his prayers begin, Dear God, mean there is room for God to move. Total disrespect and disregard would have been him coming on in full drag doing his interview. Y'all church folk gotta come off it cuz I GUARANTEE YOU if Jesus was walking the earth in flesh today He wouldn't be in nobody front pew. He despised religious retoric. Half of y'all crying bout the sins of these preachers got more darkness in your heart and life than you would even admit to. Their lives are no different than our save the fact they are under the light of public scrutiny. How many of us ever lied, cheated, stole, lusted, been prideful, greedy or worldly, beneath the standard of God? All of us!!! Yet we wonder why the world won't come in; we too busy watching their dirt that we don't realize our own is very evident. We gotta do better.

Then that is between them in God, if they are not sincere when they call on Jesus ! If u are calling on Jesus's Name and testifying of his power but practice more lawlessness than Jesse James, then you are going to get a "depart from me you worker of iniquity" if u dont turn from your wicked ways, but you should be able to call on his name, especially if you were giving platform such as theirs since they claim to serve Christ.

Jesus did have a conversation with the woman. One that involved her sin. He told her about herself. We're supposed to rebuke the sin in love like Jesus did not celebrate it and pretend it isn't there. It was never brought up. Why have him on the show if you're a Christian and never bring up a conversation about his very obvious sin.

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9‭-‬10 KJV the list is pretty clear but you're right I guess judge not lest ye be judged...but the list is right here in the bible if you needed a reference to what sin is or who are considered lost souls not inheriting the kingdom of God. No judging just giving scripture reference.

  • @darcyburgess9525

    @darcyburgess9525

    8 жыл бұрын

Vinicia Michelle, I'm familiar with those scriptures, so no I didn't need the reference; but thanks anyway for wanting to point them out. I know where you're coming from and I don't wish to debate with anyone about the scriptures, especially since they can be interpreted differently by most. I think we do agree for sure though about the part to not judge others, lest we too be judged. The point of what I said earlier to Brenda Griffin when she said the preachers had a chance to minister to a "lost" soul and didn't, was that we don't know the state of RuPaul's soul. We judge others because of their looks (i.e., dressing like a woman, etc.), speech, etc., but I believe "lost" goes deeper than the eye can see and understand sometimes. I don't have space to say more on what I mean about this, but I'll leave it at that. Thanks for your comment.

Wait, what, hun?? I understand having an open mind and not judging by letting God be the judge of sins, but a disciple of Christ have accountability of calling out sin for what it is and not encouraging it. The audience is on a preachers show and agreed w all Ru Paul stated, but then the end how the preacher gave advertisement to watch the show. Stop the breaks!! No pastor you are helping to accept this lifestyle and then call yourself preaching against it (Satan is the master (ruler) over entertainment. What does it profit a man to gain the world and loose his soul). What are you going to be hot or cold? No lukewarm is acceptable to God. Saints wonder why the Devil is winning and allowing laws to pass sin as acceptable. Then you want to say lets pray for the White House representatives. Dude you told the world to watch a show that encourage homosexuality and transgender. You planted a seed of its ok to them. Christ will judge the church first on the day of judgment. Repent and live God's word truthfully. He will not be mocked.

These are people that have an unquenchable need to be accepted, validated and embraced by the world as well as a lust for money and fame! That's why men who are supposed to be servants of "THE MOST HIGH" would reduce themselves to such a low level in order to appear to be hip and so called forward thinking.... they are in a very dangerous place ! As Christians we love all people and GOD extended free will to all beings! Just be prepared for the consequences of your actions ...Universal spiritual law is like natural laws on earth , if you break or transgress the law then there are penalties! It's up to you as an individual to decide whether " Do What Thou Wilt" is your philosophy or submit to a the higher authority of GOD ! As mature Christians we love people in spite of themselves- we share truth in love and hope for the best....we plant seeds and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to their hearts ! All real Christians go through a process where GOD has to break our will through life events and circumstances... that's when The Spirit of GOD begins to purge the appetite for sin out of an individual ! If Divine Grace or Joshua Mack are in a consistent sincere brutally honest intimate relationship with JESUS Christ then change is inevitable ! The change comes with time and the realization of how wonderful, gracious, gentle, nurturing and kind JESUS really is !!! :)

I think RuPaul was trying to allude to the idea of a multi-faceted human being, but relating it to actual physical qualities (Gender, Genitalia, etc.) and transforming that idea to explain how drag is a way of expression rather than a lifestyle choice. I've watched so many interviews with RuPaul and other drag queens so that I may understand their way of life, and how they identify themselves and what I get from it, is that they do drag to Compete, to perform/act (some make money that way), or to simply express themselves. My initial thoughts upon trying to understand drag culture, is how they can become a woman physically, and sometimes mentally, yet still identify as as man; but what I get from studying them is that they truly have created their own image(s) of themselves, and they keep true to who they are, so they have not lost the image of themselves. I think that that is true art to be able to express yourself and transform into something completely different, yet still maintain your true self, while still enjoying life and not stressing over things that don't matter. Hope this opinion helps you in some way, I did not mean to offend you in any way, I'm sorry if I did! Good Vibes xx.
