It's amazing how many incursions are due to bad design! I'd always thought of it as mostly pilot error, but going from 11 incursions to 0 shows me that even a competent pilot can mess up on a badly designed airport.

Many airports runway ids especially at night are difficult to see. Do not blame pilots. Take parallel runways- can you make them different colors? Same with taxi ways. Most airports need a lot of work.
Runway Incursion Monitoring seems like a high paying job. What kind of education is required to get a RIM job?
