From what I have seen, the bias of the medical team in OKC is to deny the medical first. Then it shifts to delay and demoralize the applicant by telling them that something is being done when it is not in the hope the applicant dies or gives up before they actually make a decision. Taking years to get a decision is what the FAA qualifies as doing a good job. It is a dismal failure to anyone who has a calendar

Dear FAA My question. How are you tracking all the drones in the air now ? Is there a system in place like an ATC for drones ? I mean unless that's happening I see even less value to all this nonsense that's been shoved down the throats of park flyers everywhere. Have you ever flown a sub 250g plane in any wind beyond a 1 on the Beaufort Scale ? You have done nothing but ruin the hobby we have been enjoying safely for decades...go ahead...track and require licensing for commercial interests so people know who to sue when the atrocity falls from the sky onto some unsuspecting citizens head. All put at great risk by your sage decision to allow drones over people and property.. Something we hobbyists avoided for the most part but ya'll know better...right ? 🙄Shame your lawyers couldn't stand up the the privacy invasion test and fell on the "In the name of national security" argument in the RDQ lawsuit.... 🙄🙄

I must say that after watching this and another episode, I am questioning why I am paying for Pilot Protection services. The AOPA lawyer essentially said “me too” to everything that the FAA said. These ridiculous interpretations concerning compensation are why AOPA members need advocacy and not acquiescence. I get that the lawyer is trying to be cautious, but there was nothing stopping him from addressing the draconian and inconsistent position of the FAA. Why are they not shutting down Angel Flights and Samaritan’s Purse if “goodwill” and “time building” are compensation? I guess it’s OK as long as you are grumpy and don’t log the time.

Agreeing with Jeff Bezo was certainly not on my 2024 bingo card. That being said, something has to be done! I was born and raised here in Titusville, and what is happening is absolutely atrocious. In 2021, Brevard County, Florida, had an age-adjusted cancer incidence rate of 521.6 per 100,000 people, which is higher than the state average of 435 cases per 100,000 people. This means that, on average, Brevard County has about 200 more cancer cases each year than it would if it had the same rate as the rest of Florida. Rockets can produce soot (black carbon), nitrogen oxides, alumina particles, chlorine, hydrochloric acid, and water vapor. Rocket launches used to be rare enough that pollution wasn't much of a concern. They also stress coastal wildlife, including loggerhead sea turtles, gopher tortoises, right whales, dolphins, manatees, and shorebirds. It's funny because airports have noise abatements, yet somehow the FAA thinks this is OK. My home was built in the late 50s, so it has long since settled. In the past few years, every pillar has been completely detached from the constant vibration, and now SpaceX wants to shoot off over 500 per year. If anybody even cares to speak to us locals, you will find the majority agrees with the fact something needs to be done and fast.

How can the thousands of us in the community being tormented daily by the 400% increase in flight school low altitude flyovers expect any justice or regulation from this "hearing" when there was virutually no real representation from the affected communities like Bixby, Wrigley, Signal Hill and others. This is an awesome capability that the FAA has developed, and put into use. The video mentions that the simulator can fly a B-737 upside-down. Is that to say this simulator can physically be inverted to an upside-down attitude, or is the upside-down portion of the flight just visually simulated for the pilots and technicians?
