Running the FASTEST MILE EVER! - 6 Week Run Faster Training Program

This was the fastest 1-miler I've ever ran in my life, and it was all due to well-rounded, well-structured, and well-disciplined training. 6-weeks was all it took to get down to a 5:02 minute mile. This truly is the best running program ever and if you're someone who's looking to improve their run time, or just get better in general, you should definitely give it a go! You WILL NOT be dissapointed!

Congratulations. When I was in the Army and stationed in Germany (88’ 89)we would have a PT test every quarter, if you got a perfect 300 you got a four day pass. (Big insensitive) I am proud to say I maxed it every time… my best 2 miles was a 11 minutes flat. Now I’m 61 and in the worst shape of my life 🤷🏼‍♂️

@GrittySoldier Would you consider providing an ambitious-but-doable “GetFitAgain” program for older veterans like myself (I’m 62). I’m sure there must be other older vets like myself who still eat healthy and workout regularly…but would like to get back into their “Fightin’ Trim” again…albeit without injuring their older bodies…to re-attain a reasonable level of well-rounded military fitness. Thoughts?

Going to Overshare about myself a little bit. So I had my associates degree and was trying to go and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Went in the workforce for a bit and did a bunch of things. Met my wife and my she has an uncle who is a colonel for an uncle so I decided to go do Air Force ROTC. Somewhere during this I started watching your videos, and I’ll be honest it was mainly for entertainment not practical application. Air Force doesn’t need people like the other branches do and I was cut along with a quarter of the other cadets for not getting a slot. Not an issue to me. Plan B has always been another way to make Plan A work. Since then I finished my degree this past December and have my letter of recommendation and submitting my OCS package. I truly don’t care what I do in the military as long as I can be the best example I can be for others in my personal life and physical fitness. Thank you Gritty. Excited to do this military build and other programs as I get ready for basic and OCS. I know at the end of the day it’s a battle against myself and you already put the guides out there. Now I put the work on my end.

Awesome run, I also want to improve my speed so I’m going to check out your program, but I also have a couple questions. 1: You shared your weight, but can you also tell us your height and approximate body fat %? I’m wondering how much of a factor that will be for me in hitting my goal. 2: I’m getting ready to enlist (18x) and tryout for special forces, so their timed run is 2 miles in 13ish minutes I think. I’m wondering how different the training would be given double the distance. Obviously pacing would have to be given greater importance as an all out sprint would be simply unsustainable over that duration. Right now my two mile is probably somewhere in the 15-16 min range
